I just got an email today for this.
Very excited as our companion pass expires at the end of this year & we are looking for cards to start charging the beginning of next year, so now DH can apply for his own.

Just a heads up, there are two offers out there. One for the Premiere card and one for the Plus card. You can have both, I do. Meet your minimum spend on both of those early in the year and your companion pass right away.

I haven't seen a Plus one recently, unless you are on a flight--do you have a link?
(I have Plus & Premium; DH thought he'd get Premium & Business, but Plus is easier)

I can't seem to find a current Plus 50k offer. They come up pretty often. I actually have all four cards. One tip, if you apply for a business card and it prompts you to call, don't call. If you do they will scrutinize you. I've never called and I always get an approval email a few days later. I just got the Ink Plus for 60k Chase UR points.

No referral needed. Anyone can apply for one or both cards.

Plan your timing right to hit 110,000 AFTER Jan 1st to get companion pass for almost two years. There is another thread here somewhere about that.

I have premier and business. Got lucky when they had the business for 60,000 for a short time this year. If you can find those it would cut down on the extra $6,000 spend to get to companion. Will wait ti next year and do the same with wife, though 60,000 probably won't be there.
Also, as above, don't call unless you have been turned down. I waited and was approved and am not active in business anymore.
Also, you have to get the 110,000 in the same year to get companion. Did one card requirements. Then did other card. took about 6 months but had enough for 5 trips for 2 to vegas through next year(using 2nd Dec)

No referral needed IF the offer is out there...but right now it is only a 25K offer to the general public.

We got CP for the first time last year, so know how to work that one. :peace:

It's important to note that this is the Premier card, not the Plus card. You can get both. There are also Premier and Plus business cards, you can also get both of those.

Yep, got Plus & Premier last year to qualify.
Going to get DH the premier... and the business I guess. Hoping to qualify as soon as we can in 2016! (we have a cruise booked in early March; I booked my air using points JUST in case we get that CP in time....NOT betting on it!)
I see on milecards.com that the Plus card is offering 40K miles...we could do it with that bonus but it would take longer. We will go for business.

Interesting. I have all four, but I see that there is no Business Plus anymore.

Check out market place on the southwest air website many stores are on there. I was needing something from Home Depot it was 4 time points and pick up in store.
You just go though the SWA market place first then find store it take you to the store. Nice bonus for SWA credit card.
