    My Trip Report

Decided to jump in and share my Vegas Trip from this month- wasn't going to Chance a Live one- on my first report... hope you enjoy- I certainly enjoy reading everyone's trips on here!

We are a group of Girls that all work together- every year we go on a Girls trip to Vegas ( anywhere from four to 12 girls) we have all worked together for ten years plus- and everyone gets along- amazing with women huh? there are four of us that are die hard trip takers while the other 8 vary each time depending on funds and vacation days! This year we took our trip in January- had such a good time we decided to do it twice this year! We started these trips four years ago when one of the ladies lost her husband of 40 years to cancer and we decided to take her mind off things and go to Vegas- it has stayed a tradition since then.... I am the youngest at (cough) forty.. and the oldest that goes with us is 71. So you can see we are a diverse group and it is never dull- some gamble- some don't- some drink- some don't- but we all laugh and enjoy the trip...I'm just an average player that enjoys gambling to have a cocktail and people watch and occasionally win a little bit. We have Casinos at home so gambling is not the main thrill for me at Vegas ( although i do enjoy it) we like to try different restaurants and cocktails and shows! This trip was quick but we took alot in. We always try to stay somewhere we have never been. This trip was Planet Hollywood.. Let the games begin.

Forgot to mention since this was our second trip this year( January first trip) we took it on October 2nd thru October 5th. We flew out of Shreveport, La. We always have corny trip shirts made too..... just a fun tradition that you can only do in Vegas !

CHeck in was quick- we got there at 3:30... i used the $20 bill trick to upgrade... ( my room was already Comped- but wanted to see if we could get something bigger for four women! )
the man at the desk was nice and acknowledged the $20 but not sure if he did us a huge favor- we didn't get a strip view but got a larger room as he said it had two vanities in the bathroom to make it easier for us to get ready... ok well it worked for us, but would have loved the strip view. Average room- clean- no complaints. everytime we needed more towels housekeeping was there within five minutes too.. great service.

Looks like you got upgraded to a Resort Room, assuming your comp reservation was for a Hollywood Hip. Resort is a much better room in my opinion.

There's a place in Miracle Mile, Cheeseburger Las Vegas, where you can get breakfast for $5.99 (or maybe it's $6.99 now). Two eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns, toast and coffee. Good food and a good deal, we usually eat there once when we stay at Pho. Of course Earl of Sandwich is good for breakfast sandwiches too.

Have a great first full day today!

After dinner we played some at PHO and then walked over to Casino Royale. ( one of our favorite things to do is get champs and play the big wheel of fortune- we get the whole crowd going with the wheel) I had a good hit at PHO and that made for a great first part of the trip!

You either love or hate Casino Royale..... I never win there but its just fun to sit with all the girls and yell for the wheel to spin! once we get a few hours in it's enough for one trip and we move on!

Forgot to mention- when checking in we got free drink tickets for the pool area... so we decided why not free is free... we walked down to the pool- they were serving some kind of pink drink and we all got one and it was just ok... so we decided to walk around the pool area to see if we wanted to catch some sun tommorow. We were pleased with the atmosphere and such so we decided tomorrow would be a day by the pool. after our drinks we left the pool area to continue down the strip. BTW, at the pool two random drunk guys came up to us wearing the obnoxious large champagne bottles on a chain around their neck.... no shirts and swim trunks down to their cracks... really? we were so much older than them and not even in a bathing suit- why they picked us to party with i have no idea but for about 30 minutes it was funny just listening and talking to them. then we decided the casinos were calling us so we hauled out of there.. here ya go fellas... a pic for you- our Cabana girl was very nice and enjoyed hearing about our girls trip and where we were from. Being the friendly southern women we are, we took a picture with her ! ( my husband loved it when i texted him this! ) IMG_2136.jpg

so after PHO pool, Hexx Kitchen and casino royale we decided to go by Paris to play Giant slot machine as a group- everyone put in 25$ ( so we had $100 total) and if we won anything off the $100 we would all split- of course we didn't win... but fun trying.

last stop for the night- Cosmopolitan.. wanted to get the Verbena Drink off the bucket list.... wow- the flower was cool- but we all thought the drink was nasty- didn't even finish it. But atleast we tried so we could see what the hype was all about. Probably won't do it again either. We stayed here a long time and played slots... they were not very good to us... we walked over to the lucky cat to get our fortune. One of the girls won $20 in free slot play. she played that out ( no win) and it was about 1:00 am and we went upstairs to try another item on our "to Do" list the secret pizza. Good pizza i'll definately get some again! the Marquee club was hopping and there were long lines in front of it... We grabbed a few Shocktops and sat in the couches people watching....wow... some of the outfits- i don't know where they buy them from.... then i had to remember- I used to wear that 20 years and 40 lbs lighter ago! saw alot of people get sick up there too- felt bad for the casino custodians.... im sure that happens a lot in that club line... finally got back to PHO about 2:30 and called it a night. not bad for our first evening in Vegas we covered a lot of ground.

    Day TWO....

Got up at 6:30 ( four hours of sleep) felt recharged and ready to gamble... all other ladies sleeping so i showered and ran down to casino to play a little more VP.... pretty much gave back everything i won last night- stupid STP....so I decided i was not playing that anymore the rest of the trip. Went over to Starbucks for some coffee - dang line was a mile long.... got coffee and went back to play 3 card poker ( i am the only table game player in the group) sat there up and down for about 2 hours- left even. Met the girls for breakfast at Planet Dailies. Very good- but over priced of course can't complain though i used RC to pay for all four of us- so free. we decided to go back to room change to swim suits and head to pool- we stayed at pool till 3:00 i think and had plenty of sun- the water was freezing, i thought they would have heated it. But we were so warm from tanning that we had to get in to cool off. we got a bucket of Corona's and read trashy magazines. good times.

At some point saturday during the pool and gambling i won this- I remember it being the $1 seven red white blue machine. I do not remember times since it has been a few weeks... After the pool we went back and changed into our once again trip shirts! It was one of the girls birthday so of course we had to celebrate Vegas style with shirts- We are such your typical tourists that people look at us and think- Do they ever get out?- We do actually, we just love coming to vegas and being silly where no one knows us!!! BUT WE DO NOT OWN A SELFIE STICK! :nono:
