In the US, this was on NBC while the NASCAR playoff race was on the NBC Sports Network which is on cable. I would have flipped them. 'Murica loves the left turn league! Watched the finish of this though, good to see Lewis win again. And Rugby World Cup final on NBC this coming Saturday!

NBC is trying to make NBCSN a legit competitor to ESPN. I guess they figure NASCAR is big enough to get folks to complain to their cable carriers if they don't have the channel...but not so big that they cause a massive backlash.

Interesting finishes in both races. Well, kinda. The F1 race had a little drama (at least for F1) in the race for second. And NASCAR had a ridiculous "who finished where" situation when there was a crash on the last lap and they spent the next hour watching video and building artificial drama.

F1 = watching paint dry 99% of the time
NASCAR = professional rasslin' 99% of the time

But damn it if I don't love 'em both. Glutton for punishment, I suppose.

    Congrats, Lewis Hamilton! 

Nico sure was in a sour mood after the race!!

    Too bad for him.

Lewis is a decent guy, good for him.

Just got home from the race and the post race concert with Elton John. Elton John did post race interviews on the podium for some reason. To Rosberg: "I guess your disappointed how this turned out." Duh! I laughed. Sir Elton is obviously a Hamilton fan.

    Good race. Fun stuff.

Rossi came in 12th! Yay! Okay, that was also last place, but hey! he finished. lol It would be fun if an American could be semi-competitive though.

The ONE nascar race I watch this year and its a joke.... Just a reminder why we quit watching.

I'm not a fan of Hamilton and he's why I turn off formula 1...

And NOW my MotoGP guys are acting like they should be in NASCAR..... The antics of Rossi and Marquez, remind me of the days of Earnhardt Sr and R. Wallace...

I'm about ready to give up all kinds of racing and start to watch golf (ok maybe not golf)

Formulaic racing, to me, is not about racing. Get out front in F1, you're in unless you hiccup. NASCAR? Let's rewrite the rules weekly if we have to to make it "relevant." Open wheel? Will the Indy series ever overcome the ugly split? I'm thinking not, but at least they've opened up the competition rules book a bit. Road racing is the only thing that gets our attention now.

And golf, or at least when the real tour season starts at Kapalua!!

He did blub in his helmet on track when they confirmed he'd won his 3rd title equalling SIR Jackie Stewarts previous 1970's triple, but I'd hardly call him a cry baby for that one :rolleyes2:

I think It was Nico Rosberg that was ashen faced on the podium. :vomit:
I'd half expected him to let Seb Vettel pass him on the last lap just to fuck Lewis off that he couldn't win it that day but thankfully he held true so for that I give him respect, not sure how I might have handled that in his position
