Just received a mailer today for 4Q for NYE. Dec 30-Jan 1. Three nights and admission to the FSE celebration.
I can't use it, we'll be going at Christmas, but nice to stay on their mailing list.

Joe, got the same mailer yesterday. We also will not be going. Airfare at this point is a little to high for our wallets. Maybe another time.

It took about 20mins to get from GN to the D on 4th of July in the crowd. I can only imagine how much worse it is on New Years. No thanks, you couldn't pay me to go that night.

I understand and respect your reluctance to be part of that. I'm going to take the FQ's up on that offer for the first time this year. I've heard the gifts are pretty good and it might have been a Keurig last year. My plan is to get nowhere near Fremont St. near midnight or afterwards. I'll play some VP during the day, attend the dinner, perhaps play some more VP for a while but I'm going up to my room when it gets close to midnight. I'm normally a night owl so I probably won't be sleeping but I want to avoid the post New Year's carnage in the casino and drunken strangers slobbering all over me.

The only time that I have been in LV for NY's Eve was in the late 80's at the Showboat. That was fun since it was a remote place and not too packed.

I've been to three NYE on Fremont. Packed yes, but nothing to worry about.
