That was a good list, I like the mix of casino and non casino restaurants. Has anyone here eaten at Portofino? What is the price point like? That might be somewhere to try on our upcoming trip.

I absolutely love going to Vegas with my husband, but one thing that bums me out is he is not as into trying different dining experiences as I am, and he doesn't like wine at all so no opportunity for sharing a bottle. He's perfectly happy with a mid range meal and a couple beers, and he's be willing to do a nice steakhouse, but he'd never want to do, for example, the tasting menu at Scarpetta that JB in MN now has me dying to try. I'm willing to make the occasional splurge for a really great meal (although my splurges don't include $500 bottles of wine!!) but don't often get the opportunity. Oh well.

I dined twice this weekend at Buddy V's (the Cake Boss) restaurant in the Venetian. It's better than the hype. Absolutely top fresh ingredients and awesome service. The meat and cheese board appetizer is a must do.

Suekel, it's too bad he is so regimented. Life is too short. Sorry, kiddo.

I must say, I'm a little shocked that Carnevino @ Palazzo made that list!

He's not too bad, and has definitely done some things out of his comfort zone for me. When we married I had taste much more similar to his and mine have evolved somewhat more than his over the years. It happens and we still have an awesome time in Vegas together. One of these days I need to drag his niece out there with us - she LOVES good wine and food, and has the means to splurge on a nice meal. She and I could enjoy something like that together while the husbands golf or whatever.

Stayed at the Mirage and ate at Portofino on Sunday. Loved it! We went with their recommendations of the burrata agnolotti and the chicken rollatini parmesean. So good and the service was beyond excellent. Only (very minor) complaint was that the bread was a little dry. Our entrees were around $36 each, but with MyVegas, it knocked half off. Got a free tiramisu for dessert for celebrating a birthday, too. We almost went again the next night.
