Just booked Vdara for 3/18-3/21. I was having a hard time deciding where to book, I just realized it was March Madness and wanted to make sure I had a place to stay. How is the walk to the strip or into Cosmo/Aria? The rooms look really nice, I have stayed at the Signature at MGM before and enjoyed the room, but the walk could be a bit much...this looks to be less.

Aria walk is much shorter then signature walk to MGM casino. Hell it might be closer then a room at MGM to parts of its casino.

Getting everywhere is easy and not that bad of a walk, depending on which way you go.

To Bellagio, you go through the walkway in the Vdara to the backside of Bellagio.

To Cosmo, you exit the front doors, take a left and head down the stairs to the street level and walk across to the valet. Very close as well.

To the Aria, walk around the valet area and you're in the casino.

To the Monte Carlo and beyond, take the tram that you walk past going into the Bellagio.

The most direct route to the strip is the same way you go to the Cosmo but you keep walking.

I'd say 5-10 minute walk anywhere you want to go on that side of the strip.

Short walk to Aria or Bellagio. If raining, or really cold, a bit more challenge. Bellagio walk is more covered, and less outside. Zoom in on this map. Vdara is semi circle to top left,Aria is to bottom right.

Free valet parking, but the attendants work for tips. Never had to wait more than a few minutes. We stayed there two years ago and it was great, very quiet, the room was nice. It's a short walk to Bellagio and the conservatory, maybe 5 minutes from the lobby. I read where others asked for a coffee maker, I didn't know about that during my stay. You can catch the tram and take it to the Monte Carlo, a very short walk to The Pub.

I'm actually very excited to stay here...I registered for a spartan race before I realized it was round 2/3 of March Madness....so hotel prices were a little higher than I'm used to in vegas that weekend, and wanted to make sure I booked something way ahead.

Best place to stay on The Strip (in my worthless opinion).

    You will enjoy.

It definitely tops my list as well. During the week you can get a nice suite without breaking the bank.

Did you book the deluxe suite or something else?

Went with the deluxe suite. Going to keep checking to see what prices do.
