It's been a tradition for me to sit in the chatroom while I'm giving out Halloween candy. I'm usually in there by 545pm EST on Halloween night. I hope you can drop by to say hello.

Our new tradition - be there on Halloween! We were downtown last year and it was such a great party. Had to book again for this year. Should be even better with Halloween being on a Saturday! It'd be great if there were a live-feed web cam where you could see what's going on, but for such a camera-saturated world Vegas seems to be light in web cams.

Ty, you remember our chat? That's sweet. Cuz, I don't. Sorry. It's also a tradition that I enjoy some cocktails while giving out candy and chatting.

Yeah Mark, there's a reason for that. Ever seen people ducking the webcam at the Golden Gate? I do a super exaggerated dodging and covering my face for that web cam. I figure it gives randoms watching it a giggle.

I don't buy the candy too early or else it gets eaten before the day. I also don't buy that much because we don't get that many kids. It seems like they have a route and I'm on the corner of a small block, the only house on this side of the block that hands out candy. My neighbours across the street put on a whole display and whatnot. It seems like their route takes them past my house and over to theirs. I get a few kids but not that many. I tend to get the smaller kids out earlier as well. The last few years I've had several small children bust past me and chase the cats straight to the back of the house. Fast little bastards too. My husband has lost 120lbs in the last 11 months and I'm trying to follow his example so I might buy harmless stuff like those McDonald's gift certificates, or gum or candy we don't like. We'll see.

Poor baby Jaxon will spend Halloween on leash, little bugger has now figured out how to open the baby gate. The BBoy will just greet the trick or treaters but I'm afraid the little guy will run out to join them and be gone.

    Loladoggie,

Do you have a link to the webcam at the Golden Gate? I can't find it on the internet. That's what's odd. The casinos have hundreds of cameras, security cameras are everywhere these days, but Vegas has few webcams. It's like you're surrendering your right to privacy as soon as you walk into a property, but you have the right to it when you're in public.

Anyway, Halloween used to be great in our neighborhood. Because I gave the large candy bars, I'd keep track. We typically had 120 to 140 kids. Then in one year, three years ago, it dropped to only about 35. Hasn't recovered since. So to heck with it, Vegas on a Halloween weekend is more fun! Have a good time chatting. At least you'll be there in spirit!

I will be in Vegas at The D on Halloween. I may get tired of the crowds and go to the room to talk to you.

I can't find a link to Golden Gate's cam either. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

I'll be chatting from around 545pm EST until at least 9pm EST.

I will be in Vegas on Halloween and likely DT. Seems likely to be at the GG or The D for much of the night. I will do some live posting/Tapatalk for those of you who cannot be with us!

Let's not forget about the Halloween chat I'm "hosting". I feel bad that I can't put out nibbles for you guys, make some cocktails and show you my Vegas shrine.

Um.....can you guys give me longer than 15 seconds before bailing?

Give me a chance to say hello, respond. If you say hello it dings, so even if my eyeballs are elsewhere, I'll hear it.

The last person that came in gave me a whopping 7 seconds to greet them. Technically I said hello at about the 4 second mark but they left anyhow.

So......um......I guess I'm too tired and cranky to be bothered with this tonight.

    Have a good Halloween.

We'll see. But, I'm feeling like I'm done with these chats. 7 seconds to pop in and out of a chat room? Sorry...I'm done.
