What would make you choose one over the other (other than price), what would the benefit of each be?

    Here's my take on it:

    Stay at Mandalay Bay IF:
The standard room (if that's what you are going for) suits your needs (still pretty nice)
You want to be close to the pool complex area
You want quick access to the casino area
You want quick access to the tram to luxor/excal

    Stay at Delano IF:
You want a suite instead of standard room (it's an all suite hotel)
You want a quieter/less busy hotel area.
You want access to the Delano only pool area (can be crowded)

    Stay at Four Seasons IF:
You are a pool person and want access to the Four Seasons Only pool area (it's quite nice, quiet, and not crowded)
You want easy access to the rest of the MB pool complex (yes you can go there too)
You value personalized service (Four seasons does excel at service)
You value a super quiet/less busy hotel area
You want quick access to casino area
You want quick access to the tram to luxor/excal

As far as pricing: MB < Delano < Four Seasons

I have never stayed at Four Seasons...but I highly recommend Delano. It is so peaceful there. The rooms are beautiful and the casino is a very short walk. I loved my stay there.

Thank you all...really trying to narrow it down...I'm a huge cosmo fan, but don't love their pool...wanting to give MB or one of the properties there a shot....this could be a deal breaker...does anyone know if the pool area is open in March?

I don't know for certain but March seems highly questionable as far as pools. I would say no. If there was a pool open there may only be 1 small pool in the entire complex (that's probably heated).

We are regulars at Four Seasons. We have stayed at Delano 4 or 5 times since the rebranding. We've stayed at Mandalay Bay a few times but we much prefer Four Seasons or Delano over MB when available.

While jeffr did a good job of capturing the high points, I would add to it the following:

If your trip is to celebrate a special occasion, Four Seasons. The hotel staff is accustomed to handling all manner of special requests. Do you want a bottle of champagne and a dozen chocolate dipped strawberries delivered to your suite at a specific time? Do you need a suit pressed or shoes shined? Do you want a luxurious pool retreat (complete with Evian spray and cucumber slices for your eyelids)? Do you prefer maid service according to your schedule (note your desired 2 hour timeframe at check in) and do you enjoy nightly turndown service? Do you dislike waiting in line for an elevator? The Four Seasons rooms and suites occupy floors 35 through 39 of the Mandalay Bay tower. Four Seasons has three guest elevators which service the five floors of the hotel.

Finally, Four Seasons is part of the AMEX FHR program. Prior to Delano, THEhotel was also in the FHR program, but I'm not certain Delano retained that status.

Four Seasons all the way unless you want to have a loud obnoxious party, then MB.

Casino, Restaurant and Bar access - not exactly the same, but pretty much the same for all three. That would NOT be a factor.

MB - basic rooms, unless you are getting suites comped
    Delano - Suites
4 Seasons - have not stayed there yet. We value separate room due to sleep schedules vs the regular, but higher end room at 4 Seasons.

Overall, we like the overall MB complex - lots of places to eat, play, walk, etc. Way more than Cosmo.

What part of March? The pools are usually open by mid-March. We are there every year for the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament and the pools are open. In the past 15 years, there were a couple years which had a day or two with cool/rainy weather, but usually it's sunny with temps in the 70s to 80s.

I've stayed at mb, the hotel and Delano. MB has some very impressive suites that are not online. I was not impressed with Delano's penthouse.

Saying that, I'm looking forward to try out the four season.

Your timing is good - you will be there the first weekend of the tournament. Pools should be open and weather should be awesome for lounging by the pool.

Which race are you running? Hubby and I have ran several marathons and half marathons in the Las Vegas / Lake Mead area.

Anyone ever book at MB and go directly to the Delano desk at check in to see about upgrading to a suite there? Either with a $20 tip or simply paying out of pocket?

Not quite the same, but I have been upgraded from MB to the Delano at the MB front desk if that helps?

Anything special or just the whole "any complimentary upgrades?"

I asked about upgrades my 2 most recent trips there. First time I asked specifically for one of the newly renovated rooms and she mentioned it would be an extra $20-30 a night (not worth it). The second time I waited like 20 minutes in the invited guest check-in (only one in line) and asked for available upgrades (it was close to 10 pm) and she mentioned she could upgrade me to the Delano no charge. Even for an extra $20 a night, a Delano suite is a nice upgrade over a standard Mandalay Bay room.

    Just be friendly and ask.
