Hello Fellow VMBers. Since my job works on a weird work week (thursday-wednesday) I am taking a solo trip in mid november 17-19. Going to be a pretty chill trip. Poker tourneys and a few shows.

I was wondering if anyone had ideas on some good shows to see during the week. I have seen Rock of ages, raiding the rock vault, Fantasy and Carrot Top.

any recommendations? I like comedy and not really into wild and crazy shows.

Absinthe is a good option if you aren't easily offended.

I agree. It was the first show that sprang to mind. Second, I would suggest the Bard Garrett comedy club at MGM

Be aware that it's a comedy club bearing his name - I'm not sure how often HE actually performs there. Otherwise, it's a regular crap shoot of a comedy club - can be great or awful, depending on the comics scheduled. Still a good idea - I like comedy clubs - but wanted to point that out so if it's Brad you really want to see, make sure he's in town. He's doing some tv now so not sure how often he's in Vegas....

I will toss in a vote for Vinny Favorito as you have seen Carrot Top. He's got a new venue, but it's a reasonable price and will keep you in stitches...

Could not agree more about Absinthe and Vinnie Favorito.

Vinnie's at the Tommy Wind Theater. I've never been there but their website says it's a "few feet from MGM Grand."

Thanks for the tip about Vinnie. I have seen him a number of times and think he's a riot. I am going to be in LV the week after you and was looking at shows as well. Human Nature, which I've seen I think four times, has a special Christmas show running just in November and early December. Looks like it will be great.
