I heard SouthPoint has a prop bet on the Pats going 16 - 0 paying 20-1.
Anyone know if this is still going?
    Seems like easy $$!

14 years ago this week I put $100 on the Pats to win the Super Bowl at 35-1. Bledsoe had got hurt the prior week and some new kid named Brady was filling in.
To paraphrase the immortal Chico Escuela.....Brady been bery bery good to me!
    I'm expecting a 14-2 season but he's gone 16-0 before, so at 20-1 it's worth a flyer.
Especially with how weak the rest of the AFC is this year.
Next week they play the Boys without Romo or Dez.....the stars are aligning....better hop on the band wagon!

So far it looks like SouthPoint is the only place that has this prop.
    Anyone see it elsewhere?

I was gonna say I'd rather take 1 to 20 that they'll lose a game, then I looked at the article and that's what it is.

    12 to 1 they go 16-0.
    1 to 20 they don't.

No way either team goes 16-0. If they are at 14-0, and have the 1 seed locked up, they will rest their key starters for the playoffs. The lesson the Pats learned from 2007 is that going for 16-0 was exhausting. This is why the Pats rested against the Bills in the last game of the regular season last year and lost that game but were healthy and well rested for the playoffs, eventually winning the Superbowl.

So this means a $100 bet gets me $120?

The trouble with this bet is lets say either team is 14-0 with two weeks left. They then most likely lock up home field and a bye week and play the second string to rest the starters. There is nothing to play for. Or, maybe the starters play a half in each game to just stay sharp. Who knows what happens the last two weeks.

But it's fun to think of my Packers going 16-0.

    No.

A bet at 12 - 1 on them to go undefeated pays $1,200 on the $100 bet (plus you get your $100 back).

A bet at 1 - 20 for them to have at least one loss or tie requires a bet of $2,000 to win $100 (plus you get your $2,000 back).
