Ling or Ballys

I can get all nights comped in a Cabana pool room at the Ling, or a Junior Suite at Ballys.. What would you take? I heard the Ling Room, is only 300 sq.ft., Bathroom small for that type of room, but the patio seems inticing. Ballys Junior Suite 850 plus..

Exactly. Frugal old people go to Bally's. Frugal young people go to the Linq. I like it very quiet when I'm sleeping and Bally's fits the bill.

 

I would do Bally's Junior Suite if it's comped because of the room. IP/LinQ rooms are small and pool season is just about over. If you stay at Bally's you can go to the pool at Paris.
You can always hang out at the LinQ Promenade/O'Shea's for fun.

Very Young 60's. I mean Young. Lol we are going in April...my Gal Friend this time, both very compatible. Hubby not going this time. Just worried the Ling room bathroom is really small. Bally's Junior Suite looks pretty large.

 

I would say, go with Ballys.

 

We stayed at the linq last April. Pool was open but not in party mode, if I was going I would give the cabana a try if it was reasonable in price. It seems that the outdoor space makes up for the smaller room. I assume the patio is another 300 square feet of space to use. For what it's worth both my wife and I are 50.

 

The room at the Ling looked small, just concerned about two women, sharing a small bathroom.

 

I'd go Bally's, for sure. But I just love that part of the strip: I basically just continuously walk around the Bally's-Paris-Planet Hollywood-Bellagio circle, pretty much every day, every trip. With side jaunts to Ellis Island (right behind Bally's).

On the other hand, I've had the "junior suite" a couple of times, and I'm pretty sure it's not 850 square feet. But I'm sure it's larger than the Linq rooms.

 

I think that two women in your demographic would prefer the larger living/bathroom space of the junior suite at Ballys over a small cabana room at the Linq.

(Just an FYI, the hotel name is LINQ, not LING)

I stayed in the Indigo Tower two queen junior suite, which they list as 593 square feet. But I also see an Indigo Tower king junior suite listed at 780 feet, and the Jubilee Tower junior suites (both king and two queen) as 840+ square feet.

 

Yes and we can get the Jubilee Junior Suite.

 

NOOOOOOOOO brainer--Jubilee Suite is MUCH bigger (room & bath) & nicer.
Have stayed at Linq & in Jubilee Tower at Ballys (tho not jr. suite, darnit!). LINQ rooms are done fairly nicely, but quite small & bath is only big enough for ONE person at a time (unless one is in the shower). I was shocked how small it is. I would stay again, but would choose Ballys every time, even Indigo Tower, for size (if there are 2 of us)

 

Just got back from a 4 night stay in the cabana room at the Linq. Was not impressed with the inside room, but loved the cabana area. Definitely worth it. My husband was glad cause he could smoke outside. You can bring your own alcohol and still have the exclusive pool atmosphere. Since it is on the 2nd floor you can use the stairway instead of having to wait for elevators. The downsides are the small bathroom, which really was not a problem for us, and the air conditioner put out a lot of air right into your face if you have the bed closest to it and on the outside it blows hot air if you are sitting by it. I solved that by putting a pillow over top the left half when in bed and shutting off the air when we were outside. Have already booked the cabana room again for next September.

For our March trip we are booking Bally's Junior Suite since it is not pool weather.

For us it was a simple choice based on pool weather.

 

Pretty sure those cabana rooms only have 2 double beds (instead of queens). Not sure if that matters to you at all (being 6'2" it matters to me!).

Having stayed at both Bally's and Linq within the past year, I prefer the Linq for casino and location. But enjoyed staying at both.
