Has anyone signed on with Sprint recently and done the buyout offer?

I pay $340 a month for 30GBs shared data family plan for 4 lines with ATT. With Sprint they tell me that 4 lines, 4 phone leases (3 iphones and a galaxy 6), 40 GB shared data on a family plan will be $205 plus taxes per month AND they will buy me out of our ATT contract.

Seems too good to be true. Apparently they send you a perpaid Amex gift card within so many days of activation to pay towards the termination fees from your old contract.

Scares me a little because I don't want to have an outstanding bill sitting there not getting paid off for a month...etc.

What are your thoughts - have you done it and if so, was it an easy process? No loopholes or fine print that came to bite you in the ass later?

Thanks guys! We've been with ATT for 8 years so I'm a bit leery of change. Just bought a house so saving any little amount helps!

I have been with Sprint for 7 or 8 years, had no issues with them when I lived in Chicago or its suburbs. I moved to so cal about 6 months ago and Sprint SUCKS out here. Been lazy about it, but I'll be switching to Verizon shortly.

Obviously this doesn't apply directly to you in TX, but something to consider. I think LCs advice is solid, I've read the rootmetrics studies as well.

I concur! In NC, my sprint service was awesome! Moved to SoCal...sucks! Seems to suck in some Vegas hotels too.

Check to see if Cricket is available in your area, they are owned by ATT and use their network. I have a 5 lines with 2.5 GB data per line, the all in price with taxes and fees is $100 with automatic credit card payment. I bought two iPhone 6's at the Apple Store, brought three other phones over and ported all the numbers. There has been no difference in service.

It appears all networks have challenges in Vegas.

We have 4 ATT lines with 20gb data and pay $160 plus tax. Just saying.

Our base bill is $190 for 30GB data and 4 lines. We have 4 next plan payments added on top of that. Taxes and all the grand total is 340 per month.
We use on average about 23 or so GB per month. I have two teenagers.

Sprint has a crappy network but if it works where you want to use your phone, you're golden. If not.... not so golden.

Plee, you have told me to leave sprint since i complain about them. The reason why i do not leave them is because i have 5 lines with unlimited data (dont think they offer it anymore) since i was grandfathered in.

I know you sent me suggestions by email but what would be the next best if i am paying for 5 lines?

Some people don't really use as much data as they think they do. Take a look at your last bill and look and call me tomorrow.

I have Sprint in Central Texas - Hill Country. All networks are on the crappy side. But Sprints seem to be the most reliable and I am Grandfathered in. 4 lines unlimited everything around $210 a month for everything including taxes. will be cutting down to 3 lines shortly after I drop the "bitch" soon to be ex-daughter in law from the plan. i looked at cutting back on services etc but because I have an old plan they still honor it is cheaper to keep it.
