You could shuttle over to the Palms and play the 1c and 2c 50 play 9/6 JOB machines. I would assume you can play just 2-3 hands at a time.

Unfortunately I haven't checked too many nickel games at orleans because the quarter games are good enough for me that I play them straight away. I know the mardi gras bar has 9/6/5 DB with STP for as cheap as nickels (only one line needed to bet 5 or 6), The return of those are 97.81% and 98.08%, respectively. They have 12/8 Loose Deuces (99.19%) for nickels near the cashier, but that's high variance, the four deuces are worth about 10%!

Yes, any machine 25 play or greater, you can max bet any number of hands unless they add a "minimum bet" requirement.

Even though Orleans and Gold Coast are sister properties and usually marketed together, I think Gold Coast has better VP games than Orleans.
Orleans has a better and larger hotel, other than that, I prefer Gold Coast.

I find both very similar. I love the 3 play quarters Full pay Double Bonus Progressive Vp machine at Orleans. Its addicting. Orleans gets the edge because of food options and poker room but they (GC and Orleans) are very similar in other respects! Especially table games are and sports book. Ill be at Orleans in 10 days (and will definitly stop by GC before checking into Paris on 10/9)!!!

For single line quarter VP, I think GC has better availability of 99.5%+ games. And I definitely know GC has at least 7/5 Bonus for nickels (since OP asked) as well as 98.91% Deuces on their "up to 99.8%" units for nickels. But I would tell bartop DDB lovers to go to Orleans now since you can get quarter+ 9/6 DDB now at the Mardi Gras bar!

You mean 9/7 Double Bonus? I wouldn't call it Full pay.
Four Queens has 10/7 + prog, that's real full pay.

    True.
At $1 or above level, which is what I play, Orleans doesn't have anything good. But GC has tons of machines 99.54% or better.

Well 9/7 progressive is good enough for me (anything over 99%). Last 2 times I went to 4 Q's there wasn't a seat to be had (sad face). Plus I'm staying at Orleans for 2 days (before moving to Paris). so when in Rome (or Orleans) do as......! Good luck at 4 Queens though!! Plus i just found out that Vegas legend (and the nicest person that, I and my sister "Fflowers, have ever met in Nevada) Dbueller will be at Orleans also when I'm there. 4Q's cant touch that!!

If it matters to anyone I was at the Gold Coast and Orleans a couple weeks ago..
The bartop VP machines at the GC were all progressive Royals by suit..and the Orleans were not.
Played a few hours at the GC and not one 4oak..which is unusal over the years/sessions.
Hit more at the Rio sportsbook bar inc a couple premium DDB hands..
Did ok at the Orleans also with Dueces twice..Just strange as the GC was always my go to after not hitting squat at the Rio (Comp room)
