Rather difficult to answer without some background from you.

With 15 trips to Vegas, you probably have an idea of Flamingo.

CET - good if you play CET, bad if you don't.
Hotel is some mid range. A great hotel is you usually do Circus Circus. Bad hotel if you usually do Wynn.
Casino is a casino. Probably just below mid-tier. Some love it. Some would not.
They recently did a food court. Great if you like that. Not so good if you want a high end steakhouse.

Location is good, pool is good.

Food is okay, I remember liking that pizza place.

The location is good, the pool is good and I like that little garden area out back... but the rooms are all very poor quality, even the much touted GO rooms - if you compare the GO rooms to other rooms at The Flamingo they are really nice, but compare them to just about anywhere else and they are rickety, old and worn with nice bathrooms. The common areas of the hotel (hallways, elevators, ice machine areas, etc) are all in very poor condition with floors that creak and groan at every step and elevators that feel like death traps.

For the casino I thought it was just "OK" - its a casino, has new games, has old games. My biggest beef was that all the tables and new slots are at the front of the casino - if you come down the elevators to the casino you end up in the part of the casino with ancient crappy old games with bad screens and buttons that barely work and then have to go all the way to the front of the casino to find something new.

For food: overall selection is OK. The food court is kind of hard to say: they went with higher end fast food places (Johnny Rockets, Bonanno's, Asian Express, LA Subs) so its not really a cheap place to eat (as compared to if they went with McDonalds, Sbarro's, Panda Express, Subway) which I am sure some will appreciate, but doesn't really fit in with The Flamingo and the crowd they'll draw.

Auggie nailed it. Standard rooms suck rocks. I booked a Go Room last weekend hoping for an upgrade that never materialized. Go Rooms are way over rated. But, the showers are good. I don't mind the casino but it is still fairly average compared to anything else. I'm not a fan of the food court. Pool is the highlight and I would not stay there if the pool wasn't so much fun.

Pizza Joint, great pizza for the price!

As others have said, the standard rooms are pretty bad, the Garden is nice, location is awesome.

I've stayed there 3-4 times, got married in the garden, my standards are not very high on rooms, I just prefer mid strip and something close to Stage Door lol, will stay there again.

So many much better properties out there to stay at, cosmo, aria, bellagio, venetian, palazzo, wynn.

Checkout hotwire or priceline either north or south strip, and make sure the place has at least 90% liked, ideal would be 95%.

I don't think I could afford any of those and they seem to be places where I would feel out of my element.

I should have mentioned that I have stayed the last 5 trips at Mirage. I was just looking for a change of pace in that range, but I'm finding these comments to be fairly consistent with what I have always heard about Flamingo.

I would say Mandalay Bay but I don't care for the location.

Yeah, Flamingo is probably out. I'll probably stick with Mirage or maybe TI.

MGM is too big and crowded and I don't think I would like NYNY or Monte Carlo.

I can spend all 4 or 5 days and never go north of Venetian or south of Flamingo Blvd.

Thanks everyone, that's all the convincing I need.

I liked our room at the Flamingo better than when we stayed at Mirage but we did upgrade to what they called a Go Mini Suite. Even had a ceiling fan above the bed. Our couch looked out on the Bellagio Fountains. We did after our first 2 days find old pancakes in a drawer.

Definitely, we requested "near the end of the hall"...what a huge mistake that was. That was the longest walk we ever had by quite a margin.

And echoing others...biggest pluses are location and price. Rooms, meh, not great, but that's why the price is low. VP game choices aren't bad vs. sister CET properties, but paytables suck like most of CET. 3:2 BJ as cheap as $15 in Margaritaville. Maybe as low as $10 in the main casino at times. Bugsy's has Happy Camper IPA at least, but the keg was out when I tried to get it last trip on a Sat. night. Flamingo has a soft spot for me...first Vegas Royal!

There has been a couple of exceptions but we've always stayed at the Flamingo and continue to go back there. I think the first thing you'll notice is that the casino is much brighter at the Flamingo and more wide open and not as chopped as the Mirage is. We enjoy the pool but admit that we don't stay past 11am. We're in our early 50's and it starts getting a little crazy after 11am most days.
Margaritaville restaurant has decent food and the buffet isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be and the price is decent with a good selection to choose from. There are plenty of low limit tables and I've always found the drink service to be very good there. We've never stayed in a regular room. My host there always puts us in a GO room or better. We sleep and shower there... otherwise we are never there. As far as I'm concerned, as long as the room is clean, It's all I ask for. The elevators? Yeah they can be interesting but I've never had an issue with them. Use the ones closest to check in. They seem to be the best. I personally think people make a much bigger deal out of the elevators than what it really is.
For a change of pace, try the Flamingo. The location is great so your dining options are huge and close by.

If you're looking for a good location and a comparable price point, you might try Paris. Having Ballys connected makes it seem like one hotel with two towers. And the demographic would be older than Treasure Island.
