My daughter and her boyfriend are coming into Vegas tonight for the I heart radio music festival. They had a hard time getting an affordable hotel so are on a budget food/drink wise. They are staying at Linq, is that new? I haven't been there for about 6 years but don't remember it. Any affordable delicious places I should suggest to them to eat? They didn't specifically say what their budget is but I'd say under $20 per person.

    Thanks in advance!!

The Linq is the new name for The Quad which was the new name for Imperial Palace.

Center Strip is full of food options. Any more info on how tight the budget is and what they think is delicious consists of to help people make suggestions?

There are apps for that. Yelp, urban spoon can find cheap eats.

Their hotel is a quick walk to Ellis Island, which has good eats cheap. Depending on how much time they're at the festival, the options in that area, south of Tropicana, will be more limited.

Ellis Island a block behind Bally's. Food is a complete steal compared to strip pricing. Casino Royale is good for grabbing $1 beers.

Hash House is reasonably priced inside the Linq. Another great option is the fulton food court inside Harrahs. It's new and REALLY delicious. You can get massive salads there, hot dogs, and many other things. Make sure they get a Total Rewards card (free) to get a discount. On the other side of harrahs, there is a mcdonalds and a white castle, plus a walgreens to pick up snacks and such.

In flamingo, there is a really cheap pizza place by the elevators. If you go into the Flamingo from the Linq promenade, you'll walk right by it. I think it's $5 for a pizza slice that is big enough for two people to split.

The Yard House @ the Linq is pretty cheap and serves good solid food. If they want to save more money Vegas is filled with happy hours and specials so make sure to eat whenever that is.

As other have said Ellis Island. If they sign up for the players card and put 10$ through a slot machine they can get a new York steak special for 7.99 I believe. I think its 9.99 with out the card. They also have the king cut prime rib dinner for 13.99. Its a hole in the wall place but still a fun time. There are tons of places they will find to eat for under 20 a person but not to many on strip. Check the coupon places and 2 for 1 buffet deals. Hope they have a good time.

+1 on Ellis Island. DW and I ate there 4 times on our last trip and the meals without tax and tip came to right about $20. Also, try the chicken fried chicken... crunchalicious.
