Hi all--I and my friend got free tickets to KA from Myvegas. Will we have to pay tax on them when we get them?

Sounds like something has changed since we went.

I didn't even know you could redeem them online (that could be why you were charged). In my experience, every time I had a to call the phone number that is specified in the reward when you purchase it and speak to a live rep in order to redeem the reward. The tickets have always been 100% complimentary, and I have seen quite a few courtesy of MyVegas.

MyVegas just recently switched over to an online system for hotel bookings and show tickets.

Thank you for that info - it's good to know because I was thinking of getting show tickets for my next trip in late October. Hopefully they are not going to charge tax on them.

Interesting...so they're charging a fee now? I guess I'll see when I redeem next month.

No prob. It's fairly recent. I just went on a trip in August, booked some things in July and most things were still being booked over the phone.

I think this has to be an error. I'm a member of the largest MyVegas group on Facebook and if this was the case people would be complaining every single day about it. The OP's post is the first time I heard about this.
