In a vain attempt to pull out of the death spiral DTG has updated their players club to the typical tier model.

    Earning points
Earning points with Downtown Grand Rewards happens much quicker than it used to. In fact, Downtown Grand Rewards is now one of the easier casinos to earn players club points in Las Vegas. Unfortunately they don’t offer points for any non-gaming spending.

    Gambling

Slot Machines: 1 point for every dollar of coin-in played
Video poker: 1 point for every $2 of coin-in played
Table games: 10 points for every dollar
    Non-Gaming

    None available
    Tier Benefits
First things first, all benefits from a casino are good. Having said that there are certain benefits that people enjoy that would encourage them to spend a few more dollars to achieve a new status or tier level. The benefits offered as you jump tier levels with Downtown Grand Rewards may not be worth the money you’re spending to reach that tier.

    White (0 – 2,499 points)

    Redeem points for play
Invitation to members-only events and tournaments
    Birthday offers
    Silver (2,500 – 24,999)

All of White rewards plus the following
Free self parking (must be validated)
Free valet parking (must be validated)
Renewal appreciation gift (every 6 months)
5% discount at gift shop (excludes alcohol and tobacco)
    Black (25,000 plus)

All of Silver rewards plus the following
10% discount at gift shop (excludes alcohol and tobacco)
    Personal host
Priority seating at Triple George and S+O
    Airport pickup (based on availability)
Free semi-private cabana (based on availability)
Complimentary suite upgrade (based on availability)

Overall seems really underwhelming as the only "real" benefits start at the top level. Also I'm a bit unclear on earning points at tables. 10 points for every dollar? Is that every dollar bet? If so you'd be the 2nd tier in about an hour playing $5 blackjack. That seems way too easy to be true. Any been by there to get any details?

Yeah, the table games ratio appears to be off.

I'll check with my host and see what she says.

Is there any way to see your actual point balance online?

You would assume that it is every dollar of theo. Or every dollar of average hourly bet.

Table games has to be 10 points per dollar theo and that is in line with slot play if you assume 10% HA. At 10% HA you earn 10 points for $10 coin-in = $1 theo. VP with the much lower HA seems the be the cheapest way to earn points.
