    My Trip Report

Just home from a great, but short, 3 nights at Aria celebrating friend's 10th anniversary and 10 years since our first trip to Vegas. First stay at Aria for us, three nights Delux room comped, $175 free play and $75 resort credit up front. Arrived late Thursday night and got to the hotel about 10pm and the other 8 people were already there. We met at Five50 for a few Old Fashioneds then out onto the casino floor for some slots. I've always found Aria's slots tight but my wife was up about a grand before all was said and done just hit and running on penny machines for the most part. Took the tram to Bellagio as some of our friends were first timers. The evening was uneventful and packed it in around 2:30 to get some rest.

Up early on Friday and back down for some great eggs Benedict for breakfast at Aria Cafe. It's rare to get perfectly cooked poached eggs like these were. Didn't eat for the rest of the day as we had reservations at Julian Seranno Tapas at 7:30. Tapas was amazing. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

A couple of pics of a few of my dishes. It was an amazing meal and everyone loved it. After dinner we went to change and planned to meet up outside the elevators and head to Fremont as again some of the folks had never been. Up next........ Wrangling up a group of 10 mildly intoxicated people can be like herding cats. In these cases I suggest playing video poker to kill time.....

$50 in to a $100 I put in while waiting for the whole group to get their act together....... BANG!!!! [IMG][IMG] My first Royal ever!!!!!! I have to say, that was a pretty amazing feeling seeing that king pop up. $4046 after tax I believe and I should be able to get that tax back with previous losses. So, with a ridiculous pocket of cash we head to the taxi stand and I splurge on a limo for all ten of us to Fremont. Saw a bit of an 80's cover band who were quite good and drank and gambled at the D. First time ever laying a bet on Fremont. We had a blast. D Bar outside pours the most ridiculously strong drinks. Played blackjack until after 3am and we cabbed it back to Aria and bed. [IMG]

Saturday was our last full day. We had reservations at Jean George and a table service booked at Hyde later that night. Bottle service is dangerous when you fly out at 11am the next morning but we managed to pull it off. We started the day at the Sky Pool thanks to one of the couples going all out on a Sky Suite. Great pool area and a nice place to recover with some frozen mojitos. [IMG][IMG]

Dinner at Jean George's was fantastic. 16oz Wagyu Tomahawk ribeye. [IMG] Mashed potatoes and creamed spinach as sides. Oysters to start. Wife had the Bone Marrow which was delicious as well.

[IMG] We were now off to Hyde at Bellagio to see Travis Barker (from Blink 182) who was doing a DJ and Drum set. Had a table reserved for $1500 minimum spend which we easily blew right through. [IMG] The show was great and an awesome way to end a brief but action packed trip. [IMG]
