I'm sure there have been discussions regarding the Neon Museum. Is it worth the money? Also we would be going by taxi to it. How much are we looking for the cab ride?

I like the museum. If you like vintage Vegas and or neon/signs, so will you. If you have zero interest in that, save the cash. Cab ride cost depends where you are coming from. I'd guess around 20 bucks from mid to north strip. Give or take a few bucks.

We taxied to the Neon Museum about a year ago from the Stratosphere . I think it was around $10 - but it's only about 4 miles.

We took the night tour and the group I was with liked it. There's a lot of history told by the guides. Like others who've seen it, we noted how it's smaller than expected - but well done.

It's well worth it. My only "complaint" is that they need more space, some signs overlap or are hidden behind one another because they have so many. But it's a lot of fun. As for the cab, the cost of course depends on where you are coming from.

I absolutely loved the Neon Museum. I purchased the night & day ticket so I could see both, and I didn't regret it. The docents really knew their stuff and had some fun historical tidbits to share. I highly recommend it.

I agree with what others have said. I did the night tour and really enjoyed it. The guides share a ton of information about the history of Vegas.

I also agree that I would love to see the museum have more space to display all of the signs clearly.

You did both day and night, which did you prefer?

The nighttime tour is amazing. Great photo ops. I took a cab from The D and then walked back. BTW, I would not recommend walking back. It's not far, but the neighborhood is sketchy as hell.

I hear the cabs won't pick up there either at night
