I see a lot of VMB'rs get hand pays. What denomination of slot are you playing when you get those??

The overwhelming majority of mine have been on $5 Video Poker (and once on a $5 Top Dollar). But I've also had some at $2, $1 $.50 and $.25 VP as well (the quarter and fifty cent hand pays came on multiplay play STP games).

I play mostly $1 VP with some quarter and fifty cent. Usually single line, but occasionally multi line.
Sometimes the "hand pay" can be a misnomer. Some casinos you can cash a TITO for up to $1,199 and not get paid by hand. Others like my home casino at MSS pays you by hand even if there is no W2G involved.

Most of mine are $1 machines (both slots and VP) betting $25 to $50 a spin. Second would be $25 machines like Top Dollar and Wheel of Fortune. Good luck!

$5 -3 Reelers are my gem. I have yet to get a handpay on a penny machine- which is my passion!

Ditto! Winning a hand pay on a penny machine would be the icing on the cake.

My hand pays have been $5 top dollar, $5 three reel machines, $1 and $2 machines - 3 credit/3 reel.
On pennies, I have run the coin up to about a thousand with multiple wins in one sitting but no hand pay yet.

Interesting. A question, your denomination is pennies but what is your total bet?

In the last two years I have had 9 handpays on penny machines, but I am always playing total bet ($3.00-$5.00)

If I had been playing less than total bet I would not have hit handpays.

Penny, $1, $2, $5, $10, $25, $100...bet per spin ranges from $3 (penny) to $200 (hundo machines). Nickel, quarter, and 50 cent machines are still on my list.

Two cent machines betting 60 cents (twice), quarters ($1.25) and dollars ($3-$5). I've come close and missed by a nose on pennies a few times which is actually a good thing.

Bet what is comfortable for you and you just never know!

My one and only came betting 2 cents. It was a 50 cent overall bet. The nice thing about pennies is you can get some pretty big hits without getting caught in the paperwork of an official jackpot.

I hear you on that... Depending on the game, I would usually play at the denomination which is one less than the max. So on a wonder 4 , I play $6.40 . On a Kronos , it would be $1.50 , $2.00 on the Buffalo etc. I find I do better on those triggers. I do jump to max bet when whenever I am up, but sure as the day turns into night , I never get the hits, and it takes my money:(
Didn't get me wrong , many times, I've hit just shy of a handpay, which in a way are better than a jackpot, but just minus that sense of accomplishment .

Mostly $5 single line DDB Video Poker. Any 4 OAK unfortunately triggers a W2G of $1250, up to $10,000. I'm strongly considering sticking to $2 Boner Deluxe ($800 4OAK payouts) to avoid this on the next trip.

With the popularity of DDB, I would like if the IGT's of the world designed more games like the .25 bartop progressives with $1199 royal payouts, except for higher denoms.

Had them all over the place.

From penny ($4-$10), dollar (often in the $9-$30 per spin), $5 (usually $15).....rarely play above that denomination.
