I'm considering staying at the Orleans in October. I haven't been there is a few years and wondering if there have been any changes since then. Is there a party pit? Are most of the blackjack tables still $5 or $10? Is the drink service as good as it used to be?

    Thanks!

I was at Orleans in February. No party pit that I noticed but there were $5.00 BlackJack and Craps tables. Drink service was quick as well.

I'm at the Orleans right now, resting in the room. All is well with BJ odds, craps, etc.

Does Orleans have better minimums in the pit than Gold Coast?

I've usually wandered around the pit at Gold Coast in the past when I've stopped to have breakfast at the buffet there. My recollection is that even at 8AM in the morning at Gold Coast they've had nothing less than $25 minimum tables open...which didn't make a lot of sense since the pit area was dead and Gold Coast isn't exactly the home of big spenders...

In the past Orleans has had a party pit, although it wasn't much different than what they offer at the rest of the tables. They did not hire sexy dealers to go-go dance in the pit or deal the cards. Once upon a time it seemed to be open most nights, but the last time I was there it wasn't open on any of the weeknights I stayed. That was in May.

Thanks for the information. On their website, I found something about a party pit being open Friday - Sunday. At least the BJ minimums and good drink service are still in check.

I was just there 2 weeks ago for 5 nights. I don't recall a party pit but I don't play table games much. Plenty of low limit gambling available. Most tables were 5 dollars. Drink service is very good. Waitress came around every few minutes. Free shuttle to the strip is a plus also.

Moved from GVR to Orleans yesterday. Didn't see a party pit last night. Casino was hopping. Six craps tables going, all $5, all full. Fun time. I like this place.

Stayed at the for 8 days at end of August. at least 6 BJ $5 dollar tables and 2 @ $10. All paying 3-2.

At night (at least later in the week ) the Orleans offered a Mardi Gras pit. Basically 8-10 tables near their Mexican restaurant. Think you got beads for every blackjack.
