    My Trip Report

    Hi all.

My wife and I are preparing for three days in AC. All of the offers seemed to align this weekend, so combined we have some decent freeplay (if we hit the multiple casinos), buffets, a BJ tournament plus I still have my diamond celebration dinner.

Originally the only comped room I could get was the Temple Tower, but a call yesterday got that changed to the Centurion. I hate those Temple rooms that look in on the check-in atrium - because of course the atrium looks in to your room.

The intended plan (which will invariably change):

    • Leave around 9AM to go to my mother's (the wrong direction) to drop our son off.
    • Arrive in AC around 2PM or 3PM.
    • Quick stop to pick up the updated TR card, then check-in.
    • Lots of Pai Gow and Three Card.
    • Try again for my first hand pay.
    • Introduce my wife to Mississippi Stud and High Card Flush.
    • My first ever BJ tourney.
    • Diamond dinner... somewhere. I never remember which restaurants take it - hopefully Dos Caminos at Harrah's, otherwise Kwi at Caesars.
    • Finally, Sunday Brunch at Nero's. The bloody mary bar sounds too good to pass up.

Hopefully I'll have some nice pics of either chip porn or at least the food to keep this moving.

Great forecast this weekend, sunny and Mid 80's, no rain.

    Good luck!

Lots of traffic on the belt and Staten Island. For those keeping score at home, it's 6 punch buggies for me, 1 for my wife. [IMG]

That's the same view I had the last time I stayed at Caesars.

So the trip is complete, and while we had a great time, the gaming was very underwhelming.

Inspired by a few people here, I gave video poker some play. I have a few pics that I'll get off my phone of quads without a kicker, 4 deuces in deuces wild and the inevitable near misses. The only table hand of note in either three card or pai gow was at Caesars. AKQ of spades, and Atlantic City has a 50-1 mini royal in the pair plus pay table that I've never seen in Vegas. I was hoping the dealer would complete the royal or super royal, but no luck there.

    Other random notes -

    • Saturday night we went over to the Trop. I haven't been there in forever, but that place was seriously hopping! Actually, a bit too much as finding any open table was a challenge. And I only saw a single pai gow table, which I thought was strange.
    • High card flush was played, so I can check that one off the pre-trip list. Mississippi Stud was not. Bally's did not have a table and Caesars had 1 that was always packed and at $10 anyway. It's such a high variance game that I don't think my bankroll could last.
    • The BJ tourney was over quickly. I made it to the 14th hand out of 15 before busting out. Oh well.
    • The Sunday brunch at Nero's was pretty nice. Not Sterling brunch nice, but more alcoholic drink selections, so there's that... I'd do it again, the view of the ocean is great.

Nice view you had there. I've come to like Trop because there's a lot to do. Even when we go during Thanksgiving it's busy.

the Tropicana has a room with Asian games, did you check this out? If you have any more photos, that would be great.
