I was at the Plaza on Tuesday night playing craps betting the $5 min. Now my eyes are not very good due to a medical condition and the $1 plaza chips are a dark blue and the $25 chips are an hunter green and with the dim lights I can't tell them apart.
So I am playing and ask the dealer to press my 9 and while he is paying another player (the number was 10) I grab a $1 chip and toss it o n the come bet and after he pays the last player the stick man gives the dice to the shooter. I look down and realize two things; the chip is a $25 chip not a $1 chip and I didn't put it on the come line I put it on the field. The shooter throws the dice and rolls a 12! I smiled and waited to get paid (he at first didn't see it since I hadn't been betting the field) and then asked my friend to tell me which chip are $1 and which ones on the $25 :rolleyes2:

I was walking through Mandalay Bay once and put a TITO into a Davinci Diamonds machine that let you play up to 200 lines. I had played that machine before and thought it was set to a penny a line. Nope, it was currently set to $1 a line. Which I only found out after I "won" 100 on the first spin (so minus $100 for the spin). I was pretty buzzed and was comfortably up for the trip at that point, so said fuck it and spun again and won 900. So walked away up $600 for the two-spin session.

I was at one of the Indiana riverboats early last year. They had recently installed a Superman penny slot (no longer there). I put in a $200 TITO from a few small wins on other slots. I was going to play the $5 max bet when I noticed I could change characters to Lex Luther, with I did. First spin, I was up to $400. Wow! Second spin, I was up to $600! What is going on here? I looked down at the console to see I was playing a $25 max bet! OOPS! I cashed out immediately.

Thinking back, when I changed characters, there was a prompt I blew passed without reading it thoroughly that I am guessing warned me the max bet had changed.

One of my classic Stardust blackjack stories - I used to have this habit in two-deck pitch games of waiting to look at my cards until everyone's hand was dealt... had 4x my base bet out, as the count was solidly positive. I was two players over from 1st base, and once the cards were finished being dealt, I picked up my cards...unfortunately, the two players before me had pat-hands & had already tucked their cards under their bet, so as I picked up my cards, it looked like I was scratching for a hit... seeing that I had hard 19, I try to wave off the dealer...she tries to stop in mid-hit, but it becomes apparent to several of us that it's a two... so I take the hit (of course)... dealer ended up hitting to 18, but would have had 20 if I had stayed on 19... I saved the table, as everyone would have lost or pushed had I not hit the hard-19.
(Needless to say, I no longer wait to look at my hand in two-deck pitch!)

We stayed at Bally's last year for a week in October. It was the last day and we had 2 hours to kill before leaving for the airport. I sat down at a China Shores machine and put $20 in. I was betting 60 cents a spin. I was hitting the repeat bet button and looked at my remaining cash on the machine. How the hell did I only have $3.62 left? As I am confused by this, the reels were stopping on 90 free spins. I must have somehow hit max bet button while not paying attention. I hit for $700 ish dollars and for once actually went home with money in my pocket.

This past July at Palms, drunk off my ass I held 3 to a royal. I was dealt 4 to a royal bit it didn't dawn on me till I hit deal. Well I got the royal anyway, my first hand pay, my first royal and my first time ever going home with casino money. I guess I did all right.

Since you were "drunk off your ass," I think you may have thought you had four to a royal. Good thing you didn't keep the card which you thought may have been one of your cards to a royal.

Sat down to play those terrible bartop videoblackjack games at the palms just to watch sports and get a couple drinks (I think the minimum was $1). I hit max bet accidentally and my $60 or so on my TITO got sucked in to a hand that produce a 10 against a 7. Had to double that. Put in the requisite cash amount to cover it and I won the bet. Had a real buzz after that. Think I lost most of that $120 playing craps before I retired for the night.

I was playing VP at the MSS at the qtr level, had put in $40 and started hittting 4OK's, got 4 or 5 in a short time and saw my credits were at around 1400, I thought I'd run my buy in to almost $350 so I cashed out, got the TITO and it was for over $700, I had been playing 50 cents a credit and never knew it.

Hit max bet on a 100-play 25¢ video poker machine in the high limit room at Cosmo. Got my money back, no big win.

Similar thing happened to me at the mirage. Hit max bet on quarters which turned out to be like $25. Hit a flush!

Yep, I'm still waiting on something better than dealt high pair when I've done that (probably ~10 times). Or a multiplier on 25/50/100 play STP while doing that. [emoji35]

I screwed up at one of the blackjack games that's on the video poker machines. I hit max bet on it thinking it would be $1.25 like vp, nope! Ended up being $20. Luckily dealer busted. Went back to double double bonus after that.
