Anyone stay there? I have one last Sunday night of a 5 day trip the end of October to book. For the final night I'm looking to watch sports and play VP with some table play in between. Thinking Silverton or maybe Southpoint, I have not stayed at either before but have gambled at both. I saw the thread about Southpoint but looked through the site and cannot find much on Silverton.

Basic room with good beds. They need another re-do now. A pinch larger than a typical hotel room but not on the scale of a SouthPoint in size. Basic bathroom, shitty TV, so-so wifi, typical droning a/c unit. I really like the look of the casino. New sports book but SouthPoint likely is a better viewing environment. Some rather horrid VP schedules. Nice folks running the place.

I love it there. If you can get one of the luxury rooms, they were remodeled in the last year or two. Better everything - linens, tv, bathroom, a/c, etc. Good food options, very good buffet and great steakhouse. Huge Bass Pro Shop that is fun to wander through. Massive aquarium made by the folks on "Tanked". Excellent CW service, very generous comps.

Some of the VP is downright horrible, you have to be careful. They generally have the latest slots and I consistently win there. In fact it was the only place I won anything "significant" on my last trip. They recently remodeled their sportsbook, plus have an additional sports bar with remote gaming on the other side of the casino.

Thanks for the replies. Surprised about the VP there, thought that it would be much better since they have so many machines. Checking VPFree2.com there really is no comparison, Southpoint is much better than Silverton for VP. So looks like Southpoint to stay with some play time at Silverton too.

I'm looking for cheap Hotel on a very pricy weekend. Strip hotels are to expensive. Westgate offers good prices and Silverton offers good rates. I do not have a rental car and need to know. If I decided for Silverton stay, please is it possible to go by bus to the strip? Or only by cab?

South Point ist good, too. But Silverton or Westgate would be new for me. I never stayed there before.
