I have booked the Penthouse Suite Premiere Fountain View and am wondering if its worth the cost vs staying in a Salon suite? `Its about $140 a night extra vs the Salon suite. I have had some play in the past at Bellagio so I guess they are giving me a pretty good rate. I see that the benefits are private check in and use of the Chairman's lounge and the private elevator access. Its a 5 night booking so the extra cost is $700 total plus tax etc!! I am very aware of the $20 trick but, NO guarantee on that working!! Please give me some feedback on this!!

The rate without putting my MLIFE info in is VERY VERY high!! But, the players discount is pretty good!!

    Thanks

    Depends on what you want.

If you're entertaining the living room is huge.

If you're solo I don't see any reason at all.

Yeah it really depends on what you want the room for. To me, the salone suite isn't a true suite. Its like a slightly larger version of a Venetian standard room. The PH suite at Bellagio really is huge. If you're not spending much time in the room, save the money and skip it. if you're entertaining friends or want a big living room to lounge around in, you have to decide if that is worth $700 to you. The private elevator really isn't a big deal (I end up using the standard elevator bank as much as the VIP elevator when I stay there), but the VIP check in and lounge is nice

    Depends.

Who are you traveling with? Will they appreciate a TRUE suite - one with a door to bedroom? Salone suite does not.

Also, wil you and your guest love the fountain view?

Yes there are two of us and the Bellagio has been a place I have always wanted to stay. We have made many friends over the years in Las Vegas and I think it would be cool to have a little party and YES the fountains are the icing on the cake for us!! Can anyone tell me about the lounge access and the check in?

    Thanks

Then the ph is perfect since it also has a half bath for your guests and a wet bar ontop of the extra space.

Not much to say, really. The VIP checkin is near the conservatory. They have some seats and a small bar with snacks and drinks. That's about it. Similar to the offerings at the Skysuite lounge at Aria if you have been there

Only you can decide what the $140/night is worth, and depends on what kind of trip you are planning. Trips with a bunch of the guys are very different than trips with my wife.

    For $140/night you get:

Lounge access: Coffee, soda, water, wine (and I think spirits, but can't really remember) all day long, till 10p (maybe longer on weekends, not sure). Light pastries in the morning, and usually cookies or some kind of sugar high in the afternoon. Check in/out here, no waiting in line, and even if there is a line, you'll have a seat, a drink, and wait your turn. Much more pleasant.

Room - As others have said, the Salone Suite is just a big (nice) room. It is also at the end of the hall, so a fairly decent walk from the elevator banks. The Penthouse suite has a dining room table (great for dropping stuff off as you enter the room, seats for 4) and a sofa/love seat for watching TV along with a wetbar/countertop. I have never used the wet bar. I have sat on the couch watching TV while my wife gets ready (why does it always take them longer?). Can't remember the order from the elevator banks, but the suite floors obviously have fewer rooms and people on them, so the demand on the elevators is less. With the suites you have access to a different bank of elevators and I have literally never waited more than a minute for an elevator to appear.

Bathroom - For me, this is the biggest bang for the buck and why I always go for the Bellagio or Penthouse suites if available. There is a "his" bath, that has a steam shower. I love the steam shower, best hangover cure ever. "Her" bath has a giant spa tub, though I hear the jets may have been disabled on some. Each side has its own toilet, and there is a "powder room" as you enter the suite. So three toilets for two people. Awesome!

So when I go with my wife, who would appreciate all this stuff, absolutely. When I'm with the guys, a regular room is fine with me. The % of time that I am awake + sober enough to enjoy the difference between the rooms is high enough when I'm with my wife, not so much when a guys trip.

    Hope this helps!

The Bellagio Penthouse is my favorite room. Love all the room you get and the bathrooms are amazing
The Salone is very nice also, but not big enough for entertaining by any means though.

I would go with the PH, especially if its fountain view, and really to me that isnt enough "extra" money to downgrade all the way to a salone.
    They are totally different rooms.

ETA: The extra elevator access is really nice. Dont have to walk all the way through the casino from the front entrance to access your room.

The steam shower in the PH is nice. Salones are at the very end of the hallway if that's a factor.

My GF and I stayed in the Penthouse Suite Premiere Fountain View last year for my birthday and absolutely loved it! I would recommend you keep this room over the Salone Suite for a number of reasons:

    1. The room's aren't even close.. In the PH, you will have a huge living room and dining room with 1/2 bath to host your friends with wet bar, icemaker and empty fridge to store your goods, and separate bathrooms with your own closets for you and your other person.

    2. Transportation to and from the airport. Just call VIP services and give them your flight info and they will be at baggage claim waiting for you with a Bellagio Limo

    3. Once you arrive at the hotel, someone will escort you from your limo to the Chairman's Lounge for check-in.. This will take all of about 10 minutes versus the zoo that will be outside waiting to check-in. (This is what happened to me anyway).

In the end only you can decide if it's worth the extra money but for me, it definitely is!!

Oh... and don't bother trying the $20 trick trying to upgrade from the Salone to the Premier Fountain View Penthouse
