Booked an entire week and am looking for suggestions of things to see or do? Have a rental car for three days - hoping to take us out of the casino for a little while  in order to make the bankroll last. Your suggestions are much appreciated!

I've been to Vegas many times (but not in the last 4 years). My partner in crime has only been a few times and our BFF has only been one other time... so she's a novice, and would love just about anything!

Staying at Wynn Encore the first 3 nights and at Ballys for the remainder of our stay.

    Thanks.

I would take a drive to Red Rock Canyon or the Hoover Dam.

If you want to meet some fellow VMBers, there are some meet ups planned for the 15th and 16th. Check the "August Meets" thread.

Go over the Entertainment section for some more ideas. In reality, there are hundreds - going on a thousand things to do. Some of the things I would never do, and some you would love to do.

    Enjoy.

By the way, going from high end Encore to just okay Ballys will be a shock.

No prob. I did Red Rock last summer with some friends, good way to kill some time and get some peace and quiet.

Two other things I would also recommend would be getting a day pass at the Encore Spa and checking out the Gallery of Fine Arts at Bellagio. There's a Picasso exhibit currently.

I think it all depends on what you want to do. There are many malls to visit, Galleria mall in Henderson (I like the place because they have a Dicks sporting goods and Kohls - we don't have those in Hawaii), Meadows Mall in north Vegas, near Decatur and Valley View. Boulevard is an old mall right near Maryland parkway/Eastern Ave. Premium outlet malls like the old Belz mall (south of MB, right near the airport rent a car facility), north premium mall near downtown. Town center near the airport is also interesting.

Outlying casinos on Boulder Highway (Sam's town, eastside cannery, Boulder Station to name a few), to the south you can visit Green Valley Ranch or even the M Resort. North you can visit Red Rock station and other casinos.

You can drive down to Primm (they have a shopping center there) or up to Mesquite. Drive to Hoover Dam or Laughlin, visit Red Rock canyon, Mt. Charleston or the Valley of Fire. If you want you can even drive to the grand Canyon (probably best to stay the night in the area since it takes so long to get there and back).

I usually visit Fry's (like a best buy) near the airport, trader Joe's for dried fruits and nuts (and water and cheap wine). You can also visit the Mob Museum, neon boneyard, atomic museum, visit a gun range and shoot an automatic. There is a indoor swap meet, only open on certain days.

So much to do, just depends what you want to do.

Lately I usually rent a car so I like using the car to drive around the area.
