    My Trip Report

    Introduction:
We are parents of three active kids. We have a 14 year old boy who is very athletic and travels for sports constantly. Our seven year old daughter is in sports as well as competitive dance, National Champion this year by the way. Then we have a three year old daughter who wants to do everything brother and sister do. We own our own business which has me working seven days a week while my wife takes care of the kids and home. Needless to say it has us running in two different directions most days. There is about a 10 day break before school and activities that we take advantage of and hit our favorite place.
I am a bit obsessive when it comes to planning and Vegas especially. I read all the trip reports and study the hotels. Last year we stayed at MGM. We had a great time but I might have over planned things. It just seemed like I rushed us a bit to get in everything I wanted to do. My plans also included a day on Freemont that both of us decided was not for us. I was obsessed on trying to get comps and offers at every casino. This led to me at the tables more everywhere we went and I felt I missed out on the quality time with my wife. She loves to play as well but not all the games. I play everything with Pai Gow, and now Crazy 4, being my favorites. My wife plays Pai Gow and Video poker. This year we decided to just go with the flow more. I wasn’t going to worry about comps, no fancy meal plans, no time schedule, no Freemont. The only things I planned were to have quality time with my wife, play with her as much as possible, and relax more. I’ll do posts by the day. Thank you all for taking the time to do these reports. I have learned a lot from them and enjoy them all.
I planned on putting a lot of great pictures on here as well. I got a Iphone 6+. I have seen great pictures with that on here. My phone however took horrible pictures and the battery wouldn’t charge. I sent it in to repair both issues and they only fixed the battery. I got it back two days before we left so I couldn’t do anything about it. I took pictures but the quality isn’t good. I will share some of them but a warning they are a bit blurry.

vegas 2015 168.jpg Day 1-Arrival and check in
The flight was uneventful. We did down 4 drinks each plus the three at the airport so we were primed. We had to watch Vegas Vacation on the flight since we were staying at the Mirage. We arrived in Vegas and it was just getting dark. Both of us were jumping out of our seats we were so excited to finally start our get away. We got our bags no problem and decided on just taking a taxi. There was no line at the taxi stand with about five or six drivers ready to go. We got into the cab and we were off. He asked if we want to go the quickest way. I just said no tunnel. He said, Huh what did you say? I again just repeated, no tunnel. He played so dumb like he had no clue what I was talking about. Both of us were just glued to looking out the window. It doesn’t matter how many times we come to Vegas coming in at night and hitting the strip, feels like the first time to us.

We get to the Mirage and in we go. I have always just loved the Mirage. I know people complain on the darkness and the age but I have always liked it. There is major construction going on with the Center Bar being built. It is going to be very nice I am sure when they get it done, huge. The construction is behind black walls. It is going to be sometime before it is complete. One day I saw them bringing in equipment and I looked inside. It is a big dirt hole in there. I went to check in with no line and held my tip and asked if there were any upgrades. We were there on a partial comp. Sunday and Monday comped, Tuesday and Wednesday casino rate , half price tickets, and $100 resort credit. He typed away and said it looks like there was one but he had to get it released. He made a couple of calls and couldn’t get anyone. He apologized and said he was just going to go back and ask. He came back and said he got us a high floor, volcano and strip view with two queen beds. After the last trip we like the two queens, more on this later. I thank him, tip him and we were off to our room. We found our elevator easy enough taking in the casino on our walk. Our room was fine. It doesn’t come close to Aria or anything but it was clean and the view was good. The windows partially open, I did like that to hear the Vegas noise. We quickly changed and decided to go out and get a quick bite.

It was pretty late by now. I think about midnight Vegas, 2am our time. We just walked across the street to the food court by Casino Royal. We were going to get Chipolte but the line was so long. There was a pizza stand there with no line so we grabbed a couple slices each. There were no seats so we decided to just find a place on the strip to eat. We found a little sketchy nook and ate. I ran into Casino Royal and grabbed a couple Michelobes to wash it down. We wondered around the area for a bit and headed back to the Mirage.
wanted to grab a Silver Strike so we found the machine and got one pretty quickly. It was a Terry Fator one which comes into play later. The machine was right next to a Pai Gow table so I went over to play it. My wife was tired and a bit drunk and decided to find a Video Poker. I played just a little while and she finds me, drink in hand, and tells me she is drunk and just going to head up and start fresh tomorrow. I went and found a Crazy 4 Poker table that I had never played before but wanted to give it a try. I found to really like this game. Being able to triple your bet if you have AA and up was great. I didn’t play for too long nothing real notable. It was after 4am now and I had with the 24hr awake mark. I headed up, tucked in my wife, and set my phone for 4hrs. First night I had exactly to the dollar what I started with, plus the Terry coin.

Good start! But hopefully you didn't get tunneled or paid the non-tunnel price regardless! Sucks about the phone, but pics aren't too bad! But considering the crazy quality the i phone 6 has, you can see the difference.

We love the Mirage, it's a classic. It's also our plan to watch Vegas Vacation on our flight out.

    Great start to your report.

    Monday 7/27- 1st full day
I wake up and realize I am in Vegas and I just can’t help but smile knowing it is our first full day. I look at my phone that I set to alarm in 4hrs and I have about an hour left. I turn it off and decide 3hrs is enough. I get up and get showered and ready. When I am getting ready to leave my wife gets up and she is as excited as I am. As she gets ready I head out to Walgreens to get stuff for the room. I exit the Mirage and it is beautiful out. Yes it is hot, its July in a desert, but at home it is just as hot and I am not heading to work. It is so much fun in the mornings on the strip. Drunks coming in, joggers getting their miles in, trash in the bushes and streets it makes me imagine what I missed. I go into Walgreens and get the essentials, bourbon , vodka, water and mixers. I take my bags back to the room and she about ready. I go get some ice and pour us some drinks and meet her down stairs. I play a few minutes till she arrives. After a small discussion she thinks a crepe sounds good for breakfast. I suggest Paris so we walk over checking out all the casinos and sights along the way. We get to Paris and find the walk up crepe stand and order. I got the Ham and Cheese and she got the Cinnamon roll one. We found a table at a lounge near by that was excellent for people watching. Man these were good crepes and we just took our time and watched people and took it all in. We both hadn’t spent much time at Venitian/Pallazzo or Wynn/Encore so we decided to go there when we were done. Along the way we played here and there breaking even or winning a little having a drink or two then moving on. We made it to Venitian and walked all through it and Palazzo then made our way to Wynn and Encore. We checked out the Popeye and the Tulips and took it all in. We both were in agreement that these properties seemed to be the cream of the crop. We played at Wynn for an hour or so then moved to Venitian where we settled into the Champaign bar for some video poker. We had such a great time at this bar. The bartenders were very nice. We gave them free run on our drinks and they did not disappoint. We had some quads along the way and I had 4 aces once. We both cashed out up $50 each is all but about 8 drinks a piece. We decided we needed some nachos to soak up the booze and headed over to Lagassi Stadium. The nachos were decent but we didn’t care for the vibe in there. I don’t know maybe just us. We then made it back to the Mirage to change.

Our plan was to head to The STRAT and do the happy hour and hit sunset. Well, one thing led to another and at 7:00 I jump out from a nap and we missed it. No biggie we got changed and decided to check out SLS then head to 107 Lounge. We took a cab to SLS first. I wanted to check out the 3D bar. We got a seat at the bar and it was cool to see the 3D ceiling. It was neat to watch for awhile but I have to say we both got annoyed with it. When it got real bright you could barely see your machine and the bartenders were border line rude. The people next to us said the same thing. We lost our small buy in and she wanted to still play video poker. There was a fun table next to the bar of 3 Card Poker. I hopped on there and she sat at a slant video poker machine near by. This table was a blast we were cheering people on. People were shaking the Terry Fator coin for good luck. One notable hand was I was all in blind with my buy in. The dealer flipped over my cards and I had three A’s and she flipped over her cards and had a pair for a full house on the 6 card bonus. The table went nuts like I won a million dollars. The guy next to me started hugging me. My wife saw this and came over and she thought we were nuts. We decided to cash out soon after and head to 107 Lounge.

We got to the Strat and both wanted a little to eat. We found the food court area and only one thing was open. I don’t remember the name but it was so bad. I got chili cheese fries and she got a black bean burger. Both were uneatable and we just threw them away. We got up to the lounge and just loved it. It wasn’t busy and they gave us a booth looking over the strip. We ordered martini’s and just enjoyed the view and having adult talk without kids. After several drinks my wife came out of the bathroom with happy feet. I thought what the hell and I stood up and started dancing with her. I think it was us and one other guy dancing in the entire place but we were at the point of not having a care in the world. We finally made our way back to the Mirage via taxi and stumbled to our room around 5am. Hopefully these pictures come a little better. The final check of the daily bank roll was -350. Pretty good for eating three times, tipping $5 a drink at the Champaign bar, expensive drinks at 107 and gambling. vegas 2015 178.jpg vegas 2015 191.jpg

Tuesday July 27th – Time to Rock Out!
I wake up around 8am and get ready and head down with a screwdriver in hand. I feel amazingly good today with about 4 hrs sleep for 2 days and the countless number of drinks last night. I decide to play Crazy 4 until my wife comes down. She eventually makes it down around 9:30 or so and we head out without a plan. We cross over to the Linq area and decide on Guy’s place at the Linq. We sit down around 10:15 and they bring a bloody mary menu and a breakfast menu. We both decide to get a bloody mary and fill out the form. We both went with Tito’s medium heat. She got the veggie stick and I got the meat. I also got the PBR beer back. The server fetched them as we looked over the menu. My wife doesn’t eat beef or pork. The menu only had a few things on it and to be honest the breakfast items that were served next to us didn’t look too great. We decided to just have our drinks and sit on the patio until we could order lunch. I went with the Mac N Cheese Burger and she got a turkey sandwich on a pretzel bun with cole slaw and cranberries. I thought mine was just ok. The toppings and bun were good but the burger was way overdone. They didn’t ask me how I wanted it cooked so I thought Medium would be the fall back. My wifes was amazing however. For a turkey sandwich this one took the prize.

We decided at lunch that we wanted to see Rock of Ages at the Venitian. So the plan was to just slowly make our way back there and buy the tickets. We played all along the way with nothing memorable. We got over to the ticket booth and she showed me my options of tickets ranging from 70-180 I believe. I asked her about the Grazie card free upgrade and she seemed a bit disappointed I knew about that but she reluctantly told me that it was a free upgrade. So I bought the cheapest tickets and got the upgrade. We then decided to head back and take a power nap and hit the pool.

We got to the room and passed out on our respective beds and I couldn’t sleep I was wired. So I got up fixed a stiff drink and snuck out. As I hit the door she pops up and says I thought we were going to the pool. I told her give me an hour I’ll be right back. I went to the Crazy 4 table and just got red hot. I only bought in for a hundred and bet ten on all the spaces but I was getting flush after flush and straight after straight. I lost a couple in a row eventually and decided to just hit the pool. I cashed out up $500. I only played 12 minutes. I got back to the room and she hadn’t left the bed yet. She asked what I forgot. I tossed her the purple chip and said that I had to just run down there and pick this up. We got dressed and went to the pool. The pool is nice. We thought about the Bare Pool but decided to just do the main pool today. We waded in and found a cocktail waitress and ordered up our $25 drinks. We had a good time just walking around the pool talking to people here and there. I forgot sun screen and burn easy. When I would see someone spraying it on I would hop out and ask to use some. It was a nice day out and we spent a few hours there until we needed to get changed for the concert.

Time got away from us a bit in the pool and it was after 5:00 when we got to the room and the show was at 8:00. We needed to shower, change, call the kids and eat. I got ready first and she got all dolled up and called the kids. I went down and played some 100 play video poker while she got beautiful. She came down and looked stunning. It was getting later now so we had no time for any real sit down meal. We just decided to hit the food court at the Venitian. Her we are dressed pretty nice and I got food court Chinese and she got pizza. We don’t care it was really good. We ate pretty quickly and made our way to the show. We walked in and they want to take your picture. No problem we do our pose and try to walk away. This photographer kept on telling us to do these other poses. After a couple I just told him we were done with this and walked away. My wife is so nice she would have stood there posing for an hour. We got in and ordered drinks and went in. The seats they gave us were ok. We were in the middle of families and pretty drunk. We really like hair bands and have seen most of the big ones and knew we were going to sing along. I told her to just wait here. I went to an attendant and gave her $20 and asked for better seats. She said no problem after she looked things over. I went to get my wife and she was so confused then they walked us down to the third row on the aisle. I think they were the best seats in the house.

The show started and we were not sure what we were in for. It started out cheesy and more theatrical than either of us thought. But we soon got into it and before you know it we are waving fake lighters and singing along. It was a fun, go to it once, show. The theme of the show is to save the Bourbon Room. Well you walk out and there is the Bourbon Room bar. There is an MC there dressed like the show calling people in. We go in and get seats and order drinks. The party kicks off with a lipsync battle and soon everyone is dancing. I have watched a lot of dance, and a lot of cheesy dance movies with my daughter so I have picked up a few things. Well a guy decided he wanted to dance battle me. It was so funny people were cracking up and cheering us on. Before you know it I am dancing with everyone in the place, on chairs with waitresses. I had several funny things asked of me by other people at the bar; Are you part of the show?, Do they give you free drinks to get people dancing?, Are you a professional dancer? Shots were flowing, I was sitting at tables with people I don’t know in between songs. People were waiving us out. We kind of felt like celebrities. This went on for hours and I eventually hit a wall. My legs became very weak, my head was spinning I couldn’t go on. People were trying to pull me out to the floor, my wife was sorta pissed I stopped. I just couldn’t do it. My wife looked at me and said, “you have crossed to the dark side.” She was right. I slammed my final shot and we stumbled out of there at about 4am giving high fives to everyone. The walk back to the Mirage was a quiet one. I don’t know if she was pissed that we left or just as drunk as me and it was kicking in. However we walked into the Mirage and we both just perked up. We got to the room and made up. What an epic night in Vegas for us. We didn’t gamble a dollar after supper. We have never done that. After all said for the daily bankroll for today was +200. I paid for the bar bill on my debit card but did pay cash for the tickets, food and tips. A very rare positive money day for us.

vegas 2015 247.jpg Wednesday – HOLY HANGOVER! Last full day
I woke up after about three hours of sleep and surprisingly I didn’t feel real bad. I got dressed and told my wife to meet me at 100 play VP. Although I didn’t feel too bad I needed a coffee before conversations with a dealer. After awhile she made it down and she said she wasn’t too bad either. She sat next to me and played the 50 play and we had a good time. It was $25 a spin at the 5cent level but I wasn’t losing much or winning much for that matter. Back to back we both hit three Aces on the flop out and ended up ahead so we decided to eat. Somehow we decided on the buffet for breakfast.

Ok we are the most anti buffet people I know. We don’t like them. We don’t see the point in them unless you just gorge yourself. You get cattled through the like of cheap food. Service is non existant. Anyway somehow we decided to give it a shot. If there was a buffet we have gone to that we liked it was a breakfast one, and there was no line. So we get up there and are hurried through by ladies in red suites. No greeting like hello, how are you, the greeting was, How Many? She sat us in the first seat by the register and said, You can begin. You can begin? What was this the start to a race? We just rolled our eyes and browsed around. What we really wanted was a big salad. We walked to where it said salad and there was a sign saying it opens at 11:00. We went by the Asian station, same sign. We walked around and really the selection was very small. She stopped at the fruit station and I moved on. I decided I will just take a plate, put a pinch of everything on it and see what I liked. My wife didn’t find anything other than the fruit that she even dared to try. I found the free beer and wine bar. I thought what the hell I’ll get a glass it is part of the price. Two bartenders were having one hell of a conversation behind the bar and didn’t even look up. I finally interrupted them and asked if this station opens at 11:00 as well. The one told me that it was open but didn’t offer me anything. I just grabbed the whole damn bottle and started to open it. That perked him up, Oh Oh, what can I get for you he said. I just handed him the bottle back. I think he got the hint and poured me a glass of it.

So I meet her back at the table and dive in. Most everything was as bad as it looked. The only highlight being the sliced ham and the cheese cube assortment with sliced salami. We looked up and people were coming with omelets. I said they must have an omelet station somewhere. Sure enough right next too us. Couldn’t red suit have told us this? So my wife went up and got a cheese omelet and it looked alright and she liked it. At this point I’m done but I spot a sign for gelato. There you go, I’m going to eat my weight in that. I hurry over and there are kids at the machine really taking their time so I wait. I finally get up there and it isn’t gelato it generic frozen yogurt out of a machine. I couldn’t believe it. I got a bit and took about 12 other tiny desserts from the row. I got back and tried them and she tried them. They were so dry they didn’t even get this right. So our hate for buffets is now in solid stone. As we finished as well the hangover was really setting in. We decided to take a power nap and hit the Seigfreid and Roy Secret Gardens then the pool.

So we plopped down face first in our beds and dozed off and on. My stomach was not feeling the cattle food I just ate. I finally gave up and headed down and had her meet me at 100 play again. I mixed a giant vodka and strawberry soda to take into the pool and off I went encouraging her to do the same and save a round of $50. She comes down and said we need to stop at the gift shop to get lemonade to go in her vodka. She brought the whole bottle. Nice! What hangover? We go in and get our tickets at the booth with little wait and go in. It is very pretty back there and our kids would have liked it. We didn’t stay too long there really isn’t much to see. We were walking out and a dolphin show was beginning. We watched that and that was fun. I got soaked by a dolphin and water went into my drink, you can’t have lids or straws in the gardens, I drank it anyway. We left and the line was huge. If I would have waited that long I would have been disappointed but it was neat. We start to go to the Bare pool and last minute just decide on the regular pool really without any discussion we just walked that way. We finished our big drinks at the gardens so I went and bought new ones. We went from the hot tub back to the pool it was nice again.

I told her about the Verbena drink at the Cosmo and she wanted to try it. So we packed up and got dressed for our last night. We got dressed up and she met me down at Crazy 4 again and we were off to the Cosmo for the night. We both said we were hungry and pizza oddly sounded good. I told her people seem to really dig this place called Secret Pizza at the Cosmo lets go there. I knew it was by the pool tables so I found those and in we went. She couldn’t believe this sloppy looking place was in the Beautiful Cosmopolitan but we both thought it was cool. I ordered a sausage and peppers, and a meatball, she got a white (per the workers suggestion) and a plain cheese. We also ordered a beer each. While the pizza warmed up I played pinball. We walk out by the pool table and grab some seats. I eat some of the pepper and sausage and the peppers aren’t settling too well. I move to the meatball and ricotta and eat a couple bites, worse. Oh boy it is the delayed hangover!! I think I am going to puke. My mouth is watering so bad I can’t swallow quick enough. She is onto the white with ricotta and turns white as a ghost. This pizza has triggered something not so good. What are we going to do? We ponder the options of getting a cab back but decide to push on to the Chandelier bar. We get there and we are miserable hungover. We decide to just split the drink. We ordered up and got the low down on how to drink the drink. Chewing on the flower took all I could stomach. Bang! there it is. Took a sip and I really liked it. I talked her into taking her turn. She liked it but not like I did. All a sudden like the sun came out on a cloudy day. Hangover disappeared. It was like I felt it slowly leaving my body. I claimed “It’s gone!” She thought I was just pulling her leg so I encouraged her to drink more. We finished the drink and had some great conversation with the bartenders about the drink. They have to be the best bartenders in Vegas, top knotch. I told the bartender she was struggling from the night before and he suggested a glass of cold Champaign and suggested Veurve Yellow Label and I went with the Fall Fashion. It was very good, but the Champaign did not help and we decided to leave and finish our drinks on a walk back hoping that would help her. It did, and it was a fun walk seeing all the beggers , fake showgirls, dads pimping out their son as MJ, 6 character artists in a row and other fun Vegas stuff. She decided on a 45 minute nap and wanted to refresh. I was recharged so I said to meet me at Pai Gow and we would tear it up.

I sat at the Pai Gow table and faced so I could see the elevators. I sat with a great guy who was a firefighter from Canada. His buddy walked by with a sack from the Deli saying he would take his supper up to the room. He tells me the cocktail waitress is awesome and he can’t keep up. I told him I would help him try. He wasn’t kidding she would ask us if we were ready and it was ¾ full. We started just telling her next round. She would still come back with a full one before it was complete. I was drinking neat gin with a lime and she just started taking the one that wasn’t finished and topping off the new one. Mean while I was sucking through $100 bills like a vacuum but having a blast with my new friend. I was down 3 or 4 hundred by the time my wife came down an hour later but I was starting to come back. I just gave her half of what I had maybe $40 and she started playing saying she was ready to party now. That nap is all she needed.

Other people join the table and we make quick friends. The firefighters friend is now done eating and standing behind him and drinks are flowing. We hit some bad streaks so I pull out the Terry coin and start shaking it. The new friends tell me to put it away it is bad luck. I tell them if it is bad luck I don’t want it so we proceed to hot potato it around the table. When it stops at me I hand it to the dealer we have been having fun with and he takes it in his hand and looks at it. We all start cheering as we have now spread to bad luck to our dealer Li. Then I am down to my last bet and lose. My wife tosses me $20 and I bet $5 bonus and $15 and claim to the table that Terry is about to bust me. Well I win, double, win again, double win. We are having so much fun as a table and we are getting so loud. I make a great suggestion that if I win again it is Patron for all. I won. We all start doing shots of Patron. You would have thought we were all family. It gets a bit fuzzy as the shots kept coming , but I looked down at one time and I was betting purple. Holy Shit I was just on the felt now I am betting $500. We played till 5-6am. My wife made it to 4am and shoved me her chips a security guard walked her to the elevator. I wish this story would end with stacks and stacks of chips but my drunken gambling stories end the same, busted. I think I had a couple hundred in chips left. But it was one of the most fun gambling nights I have ever had. I have never seen a table so drunk. vegas 2015 230.jpg vegas 2015 227.jpg

I don't know why I duplicate these pictures. I thought I had 6 different pictures. I am not doing something right. If Admin can delete the duplicates that would be great. If there is an easy way to post pictures in bulk I will put them all at the end. This is all I have for today. I'll wrap up tomorrow about our last day. Some cool stuff happened then also. Thank you all.

You and your wife really enjoyed your getaway. You had such a blast. I've been in the hangover mode and its not pleasant. Glad yours disappeared and all you wife needed was a nap.

Can’t Believe It ‘s Over! Leave on a bang
So it was a late late night the last night. At around 10am we finally rise from the dead. Our flight was at 2:00pm and we have pushed it close every year it seems. So we packed up and showered and made our way out of the room by 11:00. The whole trip I had been talking about a shake from BLT Burger. This was my last chance so I went to the take out window and ordered the shake with caramel and Makers Mark. I don’t think the guy at the window said a word. I told him I wanted to use Express Comps for it. He just took my Mlife card scanned it and gave it back with the receipt. In a couple of minutes it came out and was about half the size I thought it would be. It was very good however. We went and checked out the gift shop for the kids got a magnet and hit the cab line as we reflected on our trip and if the firefighter ever got his sandwich last night. We had a good laugh remembering events of the trip. We get to the airport and we are approached by an older man who had no clue what to do or where to go. He said it was his first time ever flying. He was with Alligiant as well so we took him with us. He moved to Las Vegas in the 50’s and was in the gaming business at Binions. He had some great stories of Howard Hughes. He talked about the Rat Pack and how electric the casino would be when they would walk in. He talked of the mob and the skims. He asked if we had ever seen the movie Casino. He was in the movie. The stories of them filming it and how true the story was. I was glued to this guys stories. What a life he has lived.

We got to the Alligiantcounter after 40 minutes or so, the minutes flew by hearing these stories. I told him he should write a book. We put our bag up and the bag weighed 84lbs. They have a limit of 40lb, which we knew. It cost $50 if it is over, which we knew we would pay. He tells us we have to take out 14lbs or it is $100. At this point I was just going to pay whatever. But he kept on and on about removing the weight. Now when we pack to come on the trip we are both meticulous on our folding and packing and organizing. When we leave we just shove it in and it is a cluster. So I open this bag and it is like a jack n the box. Bras, dirty underwear, stolen beach towels, cups, shoes come spilling out. I just start going mad and shoving everything I can into my backpack I was carrying on. I took maybe 5lbs out and he just shook his head and said I was good. I paid the $50 and we were off. Made it through security and to our gate.

To my surprise my wife suggested Burger King for lunch. I don’t know the last time I have seen my wife eat from a fast food burger place. I bet it has been 10yrs at least. Whatever a greasy burger didn’t sound too bad. The place was packed but we made it through and ordered. There were no seats. I suggested we play some VP while we dine and she agreed. We find a couple machines and sit down. I only put a $20 in and I start to eat on my luke warm burger. A couple pushes in and I get delt four to a royal. I tap my wife on the knee and mention that would be nice. I take a bite and hit deal. vegas 2015 251.jpg Holy Shit I hit the royal. I stood up and couldn’t believe it. The slot attendant happened to be right behind me and in a very thick Asian accent said “You got a Royal Frush” I have played 1000’s of hands and this was my first, at the airport. People came by and congratulated me as I finished my food. I reached over and hit the cash out button and said “that’s how I am going to end this trip” The attendant came over and paid me. I tipped her and she seemed happy. We head over to our gate and my wife goes to the bathroom. It is 45 minutes till our flight still and I hear our name over the speaker to report to the gate. My wife comes hustling over as she heard it in the bathroom. We were the last to get on the plane? Seemed odd. We start to pull away and stop. They say there is a slight paperwork issue and it will be just a moment. 45 minutes we sit on there. It had to be 90 degees in this plane. Sweat was pouring out of my alcohol filled body. They passed out water to everyone but people were still bitching like crazy. We just sat there and listened. When we did finally take off I was out like a light. Slept about 2.5 hours of our 3 hour flight, about as much sleep as I got each night in Vegas.
