Hi, I'm checking in with my wife to Elara in Sept can anyone give me their contact details I'm having trouble finding them. It's our 4 year wedding anniversary while we're there and I'd like to have a little something nice in the room as a surprise for her on arrival, (ie flowers, champagne, chocs) thanks in advance cheers:nworthy:

Elara, Hilton Grand Vacations - Center Strip
80 East Harmon Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89109, USA TEL: +1-702-669-6700 FAX: +1-702-669-6948

** After your stay can you post a quick report. Haven't stayed since hilton took over as I like the Flamingo HGVC but always looking for new experiences. Specifically would be interested in the pool area & amenities, and the distance from Elara to the actual casino

Hey MrStealth I'll be sure to write a report when I get home, I was actually looking for an email address as calling them from here in Scotland would be pretty expensive!

I stayed at HGVC Flamingo in March and just got back from Elara, stayed in 2 Bdr suites at both. Overall I give the edge to Elara because I think the rooms are better and I think its a higher quality hotel.

The Flamingo location is more central, but the room in the Elara was much nicer...more modern, larger, and better layout, beds, furniture, etc. The entire hotel is more modern with better amenities overall. HGVC Flamingo is showing its age, but I understand its currently being renovated. There is also sleek bar at Elara, although it just kind of sits out in the open and doesn't have a real vibe to it. Of course, you're only 5 mins from the Halo Bar or Heart Bar at PH. The wifi and Verizon connectivity at Elara sucked!

Elara has easy access to Cosmopolitan and all of City Center, plus Bellagio, so if you're an Mlife person Elara is a better location, Flamingo is better if you're CET (PH excepted). Monorail access is a breeze at Flamingo and a pain at Elara.

The distance from Elara to Planet Hollywood casino through the Miracle Mile shopping center is about the same as the walk from HGVC to the casino in Flamingo, but it feels longer. I think it seems that way because you're inside the mall entire time at Elara. But the mall and PH give you many more food options and easy access to a greater variety of shops. Parking at the Elara is in the same parking structure as PH and the Miracle Mile, very convenient to the hotel. Much better than the HGVC Flamingo parking in the ancient, grubby Flamingo garage that seems miles away.

The Elara pool is a bit plain, but nice. The pool is only about 3ft deep everywhere. Decent small bar, definitely not a party scene, but larger and nicer than the HGVC Flamingo pool. It has a good number of cabanas if you're interested. If you're a pool party person, big edge to HGVC Flamingo with the access agreement with the Go pool. However, the rooms at Elara are much quieter as there is no noise from the Go pool or the clubs at the Cromwell!
