VMBers are far too frugal (not cheap) to have caused so much damage!

Lol my friend jumped into it when we were younger. We were about 20, he was a broke kid going to Unlv. He asked if I'd pay him a hundo to jump in. I wasn't super flush w cash so I told him I'd lend him a $100 if he did it.

Sure enough that crazy kid jumped it. He swam back, and then we ran across the blvd and just kept going

Had he drowned his family would have sued MGM for negligence and LVPD for chasing him. I bet he's already back on the street.

I had a friend who worked security at the Mirage before the Bellagio opened and that was their biggest fear that a lot of people were going to jump in on a regular basis. I guess it hasn't happened too much.

I would think some of that water cannon apparatus could really do some bodily injury...he's lucky he didn't get hurt.
I think a FELONY charge might be a little much...but I think they're "making an example" out of him, so others don't attempt it.

The felony charge appears to be the cost of the damage -- had it been a few hundred dollars misdemeanor. The equipment that he broke must have been expensive. Why people feel the need to things like this???-- oh yes alcohol and testosterone -- the deadly duo.

I remember one episode where two guys are in what I believe is the Caesars Fountain and they are just in there cooling off and eating a burger and ducking down in the water and popping up and scaring people that walk by

I think the cop gave them a ticket and let them go, but I know he did not haul them off

If the "Powers That Be" are spending 2 minutes of a TV broadcast
to highlight this idiot in the fountain ---
you can bet, he is being "made an example".
The force of those water cannons could have torn his eyes out.
He was a drunk idiot and deserves everything he gets for stupidity.

I am probably, but don't the fountains and canals in vegas use reclaimed (processed sewage) water?

Probably the same type of water they use (non-potable) to irrigate golf courses. If he drank some of it while cooling off he's headed for diarrhea heaven.
