Planning a guys trip in December with my nephews. One is 24. It is the others 21st birthday. I am 47. I hear it is slow in December. I've been there 8or 9 times. Thinking about getting comped rooms downtown (GN) and strip (Cesar's) so we have a place to crash where we end up each day. I like to party, but not sure I can hang with a 21 and 24 year old. I love spending the nights hanging out on Fremont,, drinking, watching the stages and people. I'm looking for some ideas to keep them entertained it Fremont doesn't do it for them. Either all three of us or send them on their way and me gamble. Club crawl? I don't want to be the creepy old man in the club. Probably be there 3 nights, with the first night on Fremont. Any and all suggestions/ideas would be appreciated.
hit the clubs! don't worry you won't be the oldest guy there! Or bring the boys to an older bar (the Rock bar at Venetian) and let them have fun being the young meat for the older ladies
When in December do you plan to be at Caesars? This can go a number of different ways depending upon the type of kids they are. 1 - Vegas is way to much for a 24 and 21 year old to handle and you end up babysitting them to ensure they don't try drink too much and try swimming in the Bellagio fountains. 2 - They pace themselves and party all night. You may want to hold off on your own drinking until later into the night so you can keep up. Have you asked them what is on their mind? Are they looking forward to do nothing but drink? Are they planning to gamble? They may enjoy playing video poker all day and get free drinks which works great for a small bankroll. I would love to take my nephews and spend time at the Craps table or even one of the other table games. They could jump off The STRAT , do go-karts, rent machine guns, visit the Ranch. Not sure of their bankroll, but hitting the clubs could be expensive. I would sit down with them just to get an idea and possible a tentative game plan and especially discuss bankroll.
im sure they are not as big on gambling as I am, but I will get them to a craps table at least once. I will probably be covering a lot of the cost if it's something that we really want to do. They are both pretty mature and can have a good time without getting into too much trouble. But that's my thinking on the two home bases, in case they or even me need to go down for a while. Didn't think about the strat or off strip stuff, I'm used to doing the same type things every visit. I'm sure a visit without my wife and with the guys will bring out any of the 21 year old left in me.
Would it help to go during the rodeo? If you are into country there are tons of one night shows planned for names even I recognize and some are even free, especially on Fremont.
