I finally received my Diamond status through my Founders Card. I would like to get the dinner and show in Vegas, however I'm going to be in Atlantic City before then. Can I wait until I go to Vegas to gt these two bonuses or will I have to use them in Atlantic City? I'd like to use the Diamond Lounge and check-in, and get my Diamond card while I'm in A/C, but I really don't want to use the dinner and show tickets there. Am I SOL, or "no problemo?"

The don't print them unless you ask them to. And you get 2 free show tickets per month.

Never been to AC - but I think the show tickets only apply in Vegas - and as indicated you get them each calendar month. You can decide when and where you want to use the Diamond dinner voucher.

In Atlantic City, if you do not have a tier score of 25,000, there is a charge for entry of $10. That is $10 each, for you and your guest.

Thanks, all! I have heard that the Diamond Lounge at Caesar's in AC has a pretty decent meal, so twenty bucks to see it and chow down is probably worth it. At least once!

The Diamond Lounge at Caesars in AC is tops and blows away the lounges in Vegas.

DO NOT ask for your $100 diamond dining voucher until you know where you want to eat--you must get it at the casino where you will dine.
Also, be sure to ask about show tickets as soon as they arrive--they have a set # of diamond tickets per show/day (except High Roller & Eiffel Tower), so if you have a particular show in mind, as early (you can get tickets for later days in your trip). Penn & Teller and 50 Shades are quick sell outs.

DM & I tried every diamond lounge in Vegas last month since I was a new diamond member. Open Sun-Th 4-9, F/S 12-9, hot food 4:30-6:30. My opinions:
Best atmosphere: Paris, Caesars, Rio (daytime--has windows; don't think it would be that great at night)
True meals: Harrahs & Flamingo. BUT Flamingo was small, poor wait staff, you had to get your own coffee & the "brisket" looked like public school "mystery" meat. Harrahs had lasagna & chicken fingers, pretty solid
The food is a bit repetative--mostly chips & veggies with dip, some finger foods (lots of wings--but good), light desserts
We don't like to eat heavy at night (seems to lend to an early evening), so we often eat a bigger meal for lunch then stopped at the lounge for snacks. Was also a great place to drown my early losses for the day in a free drink!

Also watch for diamond check in areas & diamond lines at shows & restaurants ;-) Founders Club rocks.

Peach--have your son call Founders Club, it should be through by now.

Has anyone had trouble receiving the two show tickets or $100 dinner voucher after getting the Diamond Card through Founders? I was in Vegas last weekend and inquired about the available shows and the TR rep at the desk acted like I could not receive them since I only obtained the Diamond status through the Founders Card. I didn't press the issue since I was not going to be in town long enough to use the two tickets this time, but just wanted to check and see if anyone else has had a problem with it. So far I've only used the card to get into the Diamond Lounges.

Honestly I have no idea why CET would give out the free dining perk and show tickets as they are losing money on the deal.

I thought the same as well about the Founders Card and free rewards for Diamond as I'm considering signing up for it as well. So I looked into it.

At least on one travel blog I found some people talking about the Founders Card wrt Diamond level and many had reported using the free show tickets and $100 dining credit. The last I read was as of Feb 2015, so that may have changed by now. None at that point had been rejected for the rewards.

Also, many had reported that it took four to six weeks to receive a Diamond upgrade and that it usually took an Email to support to get the upgrade to go through.

Well, then Founders Club would be in real trouble for false advertising! So, I think that one of the desk people was mis-informed. For many including most here the FC is joined simply to get the Diamond status and its perks. FC would have a major head and stomach ache if it was Diamond status minus x, y and z! (Esp. since none of this is mentioned in their come-on!)

It would be interesting to know if there have been some changes, but I think CET only wins in the deal. For one, the whole point of comping dinner and shows is it keeps you in the building. They don't make any money if you win and leave, and they make less if you lose and leave and not chase the losses. So if they gotta keep you there by allowing you to get a card (that they probably get a percentage of) that grants you diamond, plus the celebration dinner and shows, that's a small price to pay for getting you to spend endless days and money at their properties. Besides, the target demo the FC is going after is EXACTLY the kind of business CET wants and needs. If they are restricting that, then they're more idiotic than we thought.

Thanks for the feedback, and I do agree it would be highly misleading to provide what appears to be a genuine Diamond Card and then restrict some of the benefits. In May I used my two show tickets for the High Roller with no problem, so I suspect I just ran into someone at the desk last weekend who hadn't dealt with a Founders Card diamond player before. I will be back to Vegas in two weeks and plan to inquire again about the show tickets and dinner voucher so I will report back what I am told at that time.

That's exactly what happened. I went back in late May to Vegas after upgrading through FoundersCard. It literally upgraded the day I was going to check in... and they told me it takes 24 hours for the actual upgrade to get throughout all CET systems. When I looked online it said Diamond but all the reps saw my old Platinum (TR visa) status.

In the afternoon, it actually showed so I got my Diamond card and the said I could get free show tickets... Penn and Teller was included so we chose that and got our tickets! They told me the dining credit takes another few days to be available and we already had groupon meals lined up. So now, I will be using the credit in either Reno or Tahoe. I am assuming I go up to the TR desk and just say I'd like my $100 credit. Not sure exactly but from what I read that's how they do it.

Yeah its a great deal and am enjoying the extras they have in addition to the free Diamond status.

I am a little worried that if too many people do this Founders Club route that there will be too many Diamonds and CET will take away some of the perks. Was not long after they started giving free Platinum status for getting the credit card that they took away the resort few waiver for Platinum members.

I am Diamond anyway but looked into the card for friends and saw a way to get it for $395 less a $100 gift card. That was supposed to be off of the $795 regular annual fee. For those of you that have the card - do you actually pay the $795 fee for the successive years or is there a way around that each year? I can't see how the perks can be worth paying that much every year - certainly not just from the CET Diamond status. Even at the $295 net entry cost I would think it would be hard to get that value out of being CET Diamond. If you are in Vegas or other casinos enough to get that much benefit I would think you would be gambling enough to be Diamond the old fashioned way. It doesn't really take that much gambling to get to Diamond at CET especially if you pay attention to getting the daily bonus credits.

No I have not had any problems getting tickets or the dinner voucher. I got tickets in March and the dinner and tickets last fall.

I just paid to have my husband added as well. Going to be upset if I just wasted $395.

You are supposed to renew at the price level you signed up with. My renewal was $295 this May. If you sign up with the $395 then it should be $395 each year.
