Ok for my upcoming trip I am staying at ceasars properties and I am a bartop video poker player almost exclusively. now I know they changed their payouts on those but my question is... Did they change all video poker payouts through ought the casino or just bartops? Also would anyone recommend a good place to play decent video poker at any ceasars property or am I just better off walking to a different brand? Thanks.

I stayed at Bally's last week and played some bonus poker at the bartops there and at Harrah's (6/5)..... as far as paytables you may as well be playing the Video poker machines at the airport...that's how bad they are. Head downtown or to the Gold Coast.

I was last in Las Vegas in April. I play DDB and the bartops were 7/5 for quarters. On the floor quarters were 8/5 while dollars were 9/5. Other games had similar poor paytables. I'm sure paytables have not improved since I was there. As far as I know there is no decent video poker at any CET property in Las Vegas. Have fun on your trip where ever you decide to play.

Check the high limit room. There was a machine on the end against the wall that had 3 or 5 play at the $1 with 8/5 bonus.

Apologies if you're already aware of this, but there's a sticky at the top of this forum called "A video poker primer" (started by Tringlomane), with an exhaustive, updated list of bartop VP as well as lots of other useful information. Also vpfree2.com is a very good resource, albeit it focuses on the better-paying games.

Doesn't look good at Harrah's or most other CET properties. I used to really enjoy playing 7/5 BP at PH and Bally's. Current modus operandi is walking to Ellis Island--there are four full-pay JoB machines right by the front door.

What is the pay scale on Bonus Poker now, if it isn't 8/5?

At CET props, the general offerings since the downgrade are 6/5 for quarters and 7/5 for dollars. This may vary slightly by property and depending on floor vs bartop.

Yep. Last week at Bally's and PH, all the quarter BP was 6/5, a downgrade from the previous 7/5. I could justify playing 7/5 (98% payback) because I like the environment at both of those places. But 6/5 is more like 96.9% payback which is getting down to slot machine territory.

    Thanks for the plug. :)

And yes, CET is pretty terrible now unless you're wanting to play at the dollar level, and even then it's not great.

Bartops at CET are now really bad, unless you go to either TAG Lounge at Linq or Rio. And these aren't that good by any means either. The three best games there will be 7/5 Triple Bonus Plus (97.67%), "traditional" 6/5 Bonus (96.87%), and 8/5 DDB (96.79%).

As for the floor, it's not good for a quarter player, best I could find is 6/5 Super DDB (97.69%) or 7/5 Triple Bonus Plus (97.67%). Dollars are better because PHo (by north elevators) and Caesars (by Mesa Grill in 3 of 6 carousel machines) should have 7/5 Bonus (98.01%) and 7/5 Super DDB (98.61%) for dollars. Also Flamingo HL, Harrah's Dollar World, and Linq main VP area should have 9/5 JoB w/Double STP for dollars (98.95% w/DSTP). To get any better VP machine that earns full Tier Credits, you'll have to go to Rio for their 8/5 Bonus (99.17%) for dollars.

Tyvm trig I wanted to try out the linq a little and I am staying at the rio as well so maybe I will give them a little action but I always seem to end up at the station casinos so I'm sure that's where I'll be, I just like the Red Rock too much. And thanks Gradytripp yes I am aware of the video poker primer by trig in fact I have had a shortcut to it on my phone for about a year now and I always refrence to it when I go to a casino it helps to find the games with the best payback tables.

Another thing to watch out for at CET bartops are the 4OAK payouts.
They are not true BP payouts, they are all a set amount, no longer extra coins for 4A's.
I found out the hard way in May at Harrah's.

Yeah, most CET strip bartops are now 30 (all quads)/6/5 Bonus, which is sadly their best game at 96.18%. TAG Lounge at Linq to my knowledge still has 80/40/25/6/5 Bonus, which is 96.87%.

If you do find good payouts, it will probably be at $25 per TC or $50 per TC
