Very familiar with the hotels and casinos. But what about staying there? We have comp nights for June 2016 and would love to try some more eye candy than what Bally's always offers. I have either Hollywood Hip @ PH, or Red Room High Floor comp nights.
Looking for the more comfortable beds, ease of check-in, and pool vs pool. We've visited the Paris pool (being at Ballys we can use it) and like it. Lots of deck space and some nice scenery. How does PH pool compare to Paris pool? Also room service and availability? Dislike the fact that Bally's still only offers it until 1pm.

The Paris room will superior to the Hollywood Hip room. The Hollywood hip room has very small windows.
I usually stay at PH, but go to Paris if I want to hang at the pool. I don't like the PH pool. Most of the space around the 2 pools are taken up with daybeds and cabanas. The bulk of the loungers are not poolside......so it is like lying on an apartment roof. PH put flowrider in this year at their pool.
It looks fun and might be worth a try. The PH pool will have a younger crowd. They have a "pool party" and the music is LOUD.
If you are checking in at the regular front desk, they are both about the same. Both have Diamond check in close to the front desk.

The PH pool is pretty boring.

I'd say the rooms are comparable in quality and mainly differ in style.

Agree. Strictly by pool, Paris wins hands down. At PH pool the music is WAY too loud, very few chairs poolside. Most of the deck chairs are a level below the pool itself, so you can't even see the pool. Plus, the water is freezing cold.

We had a room service meal at the Paris last November, and it was spectacular. Portions were huge, our server looked like Gabriel Igleasias and was awesome, and the food was wonderful.

How are the frozen concoctions at the Paris pool? Pool servers scattered or plentiful?
Looks like Paris will win over PH then :)

The frozen chick drinks are good. There always seem to be servers around.
I don't think the Hollywood Hip room is anywhere close to a high floor red room. A Resort Vista at PH would be superior, but not a Hollywood Hip

This is good. We also like to play at Paris.

Also (still) a sucker for the Paris theme (theme hotels in general)

I have to say, I'm shocked at reading this. I've stayed at both, but never made it to PH pool. I would have thought that PH would have a fun, hip pool scene. I'm guessing that got overlooked with all the ownership changes. I thought Paris' pool scene was very laid back, so to hear that people stay at PH, but go to Paris for their pool just surprises me

It depends what you want. I want laid back. During the summer, PH has a pool party going with loud music. Flowrider adds to the party. Lots like the vibe. For me, I just want an hour by the pool to just relax. Because the pool isn't that important to me, I choose PH. Sometimes if I happen to be at Caesars, I use the pool there.

You have to remember that PH was not BUILT as PH. It has had multiple rebrands. Its pool is on an elevated deck. So boring shapes, boilerplate pool, not that much room for chairs.

I don't think you can make a pool scene fun and hip just by playing loud music. In fact, that can have the opposite effect.

If people want a party pool, the answer is probably "neither".

Yep, that's why I mentioned "multiple owners" . I've been going to Vegas for 25 years and have watched it go thru its many changes. I'm just surprised PH didn't do something to make it more of a fun and inviting atmosphere. Pools can make a lot of money. Look at what Cosmo for example, does with theirs, movie nights, concerts, ice skating, etc. Anyway, I didn't want to hijack this thread, I just found this information interesting.

I would have given PH a try if it were not for the pool.

I've watched YouTube videos and the pool looks not as good as Flamingo - so I always end up there.

If you are mostly interested in the pool, I'd suggest checking out Flamingo.

I can't speak to the room comparison between Paris and Flamingo because I've never stayed at Paris. However, I'd suggest you check out some youtube videos of rooms and pool as opinions here (including mine) can be very subjective.

PH pools are horrible. They have two small pools with virtually no room around them, and a huge concrete no-mans land between them. Somebody told me the huge concrete no-mans between the two pools used to be tennis courts back when it was the Alladin, and that's why it PH has one of the worst pool setups in Vegas.

Paris pool has a lot more room, but it's predominantly families. If you're looking for a party, this won't work for you. If you're looking for something laid back, it will.

I'd take the Paris if those are my only options. While I like the atmosphere of PH, the pool is a deal killer for me.

Would def rate PH pool as poor. We do enjoy the pool at Paris....reasonable volume on music, nice crowd & seldom see any kids and their foo-foo drinks are wonderful. Always get the large ($26) frozen margarita....have different variations each trip and all have been delish! We also prefer a Red Room over PH's. Felt like we were in a closet the 1 time we stayed there....won't even consider it now....
