First trip to AC in a few weeks. Will be staying at Caesar's. Need suggestions on where to eat, what to see/do. Will be staying for three days, and prefer not to do any driving once we arrive. TIA!

Check out Harrah's on the Marina side by using the free jitney bus Ceasars runs..too bad though it is some pretty long walks to the Borgata and Golden Nugget, but al least you can check out one of the properties without driving..Maybe there is a cheap way to the other casinos I'm not aware of?
    Have a great trip!!

The Atlantic City Jitney goes to all the casinos. You can walk from Harrah's to GN but Borgata is the nicest casino in AC.

Buddhakan in the Pier at Caesars is very good restaurant.

Caesars is right on the boardwalk, so I recommend taking a walk on the boardwalk, getting some boardwalk snacks and drinks, going to the beach. You can walk to Tropicana, Bally's, Resorts, and Taj Mahal, all of which are on the same boardwalk. There is a decent shopping mall attached to Caesars (Pier Shops).

All of the restaurants at Caesars are pretty good. Gordon Ramsey Pub is not bad. Nero's has good steak and seafood. There is a Morton's Steakhouse there also. Guy Fieri's Chophouse next door at Bally's is actually my favorite of the casino restaurants in that area. There are a few good restaurants in the Pier Shops as well, such as Buddakan, Phillips Seafood, the Continental, and a sushi place Souzai. If you are a Diamond, the Diamond Lounge at Caesars is very very nice, with great views of the ocean and boardwalk.

There are a also nightclubs and strip clubs in the area, if you're into that.

Thank-you! Very helpful info. I SHOULD have diamond status through Founders Club by the time of my trip( has taken over 2 months so far) and am looking to take advantage of the Club in AC!

gotta go for the White House Special! While waiting for my sub, I have seen the cooks making Philly cheese steaks, always wanted to try one, but keep going for the WH Special. Across the street is Formica Bakery where the rolls are made.

When I'm at other towns along the Jersey Shore, I like to ride bikes along the boardwalk with the family. There are a couple of bike rental places in AC and Ventnor that rent by the hour. The best part is there's no hills on the boardwalk, but you have to finish up by 10:00 am. This time is loosely enforced and you could probably ride 5 or 6 miles each way on the boardwalk.

During the summer, I like the Deck at Golden Nugget, nothing better than having a couple of drinks overlooking the marina and listening to a live band. The Landshark Bar and Grill in front of Resorts is a good time, it overlooks the beach and sometimes there is live entertainment. I just received an email that the Mountain Bar inside of Bally's just re-opened, they offer a couple of $3 beers and $4 shots. Plus, this notice mentioned $5 Blackjack. Others have mentioned the Playground, this is the Pier Shops across from Caesars. We walked through for the first time over the weekend and at the very end of the pier is a bar called Riviera Beer Garden. Not much of a garden, but there are a few tables outside and an old sign from the original. Ballys has an outdoor bar on the beach, but I've never been. Many of the Restaurants at Golden Nugget have happy hours, menus and drink specials are all online and can be downloaded as pdf files.

We like the beach area at the far south end of Atlantic City, the parking is not difficult and its not crowded. Bring your beach chair, a White House Sub and umbrella and you're set.

I know the Taj is a bit run down, but during the week they have several $10 blackjack tables, even a two deck hand pitch game. Dealer hits on a soft 17.

    Good Luck!

    Hey Now!
Cappriccio's on the 2nd floor at Resorts has a killer Sunday brunch.
I'd rate it as a smaller version of Bellagio's buffet.
I put a review of it on Trip Advisor along with some pics...

Go to The Playground (formerly the Pier Shops). There's a walkway there directly from Caesars so you don't even have to go outside. Every evening, they have multiple venues of live music in multiple styles -- rock, country, blues, 1920s, etc. It looked really awesome when we were in town last weekend.

I was looking at the Jitney service- their website is horrible! Found a decent map- from Caesar's to Harrah's would seem to take two separate buses- would I get a transfer or would I need to pay a second fee? Are there any good maps of the routes out there? I guess they don't have weekly passes like the LV metro? The LV metro info is magnificent compared to the jitney!

There is a free shuttle between Bally's to Harrah's. I've never used it before, but the pickup spot is on the ground floor near Harry's. I don't know where it drops off and I am unsure of the frequency of service. However, I did sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night. :evillaugh. I have read on this board that priority is given to folks with the higher studs cards like Diamond and 7 Star, I can't seem to find a link on the Caesars website for this.

The "Jitney" is form of public transportation unique to Atlantic City, these shuttle busses are privately owned, but they must be licensed by the city, kind of like a taxi medallion in NY. Again, I haven't used this service, but you will see them driving around when you visit. I usually hop in the car when going to the marina area. Golden Nugget is offering free parking this month as is Tropicana (for cardholders). Taj offers $5 parking for cardholders, but you pay in advance.

Jitney service is good for $2.25 a person you cant go wrong, they have a website believe its jitneyac.com that gives you routes and all the info you need.
The CET free shuttle runs between Harrahs,Ballys and Caesars. Some days it can be crowded ,others not. Trips are quicker now since Showboat closed.
7 star and diamond get priority boarding.
Hard to recommend things not knowing peoples ages, likes, dislikes etc. but you'll find plenty to do .

You have to go to Borgata as everyone else has said, it's such a great property. Amazing poker room if that is your thing.

Otherwise, I always enjoyed walking the boardwalk at night (not super late though) and in the morning. Make sure to get some taffy. And enjoy your time travel back to 1990s gambling decadence.

You can pick up a Tourist Guide free at the Convention center and probably more information on the Jitneys. You can view the visitors guide at Do AC .com.

I was lucky enough to have walked into Revel 3 days before it shut down. Very nice prop, great views from balconies, nice décor. I don't think it's open now.
But, do check out Taj Mahal before it shuts down.
I hear my place for gambling Bally's is going kaput soon too.

I never liked Hilton, glad it shut down; and Trop is just too far for me to bother with. So, yes, walk around boardwalk, watch out for bums and pick pockets, walk on the beach,
get some behind the dunes, and eat that diner covered with money.

The website has always been terrible. The same jitney services all the casinos. But as with most public transportation you do have to pay again upon reboarding. So if you wanted to do Caesars to Harrah's you would pay your $2.25 one way and then from Harrah's to Caesars (or wherever) it would be another $2.25. Also the cabs in AC are capped at around $13, so that's another option if it gets too late or you don't want to wait.

You MUST go to Dock’s Oyster House for dinner… it’s not in any of the casino’s but it is one of the best restaurants in AC, ask for Will as your server, he’s the best
The raw bar is top notch and the guy manning it is a pro! The bartender just won the award for best bartender in Atlantic City

How does parking at Caesar's work? I understand it's free for Diamond members. I have not been able to update my card- which is still gold. Will that be a problem, or will the card reader know I'm now Diamond? Or will the attendant tell me to take a long walk off a short pier and insist on being paid?

Parking is free for Platinum and higher. It's also free for Gold members who earn at least 25 tier credits with play (at least it was the last time I went). Just get a parking voucher from the Total Rewards desk.
