I am considering a downtown trip and I didn't know The D even had a pool. We were only considering the Downtown Grand.
Any info would be nice. Pictures would be better.
    Thanks.

If you're looking to get wet it will serve the purpose. If you're looking for a party you'll want to keep looking.

It is about the size of a motel pool, usually no more than a dozen people there at any one time. No drink service, hard plastic loungers. We've stayed at the D a few days on every trip we've taken and it's fine for us.

It is basically an apartment type square hole in the middle of a parking lot. Google street view it and you will see.

On the bright side, you can wheel a cooler out there and no one will care.

It's the kind of pool you need to walk through the parking garage to get to.

    Very, very basic.

it is small, quiet, and refreshing. It does have a hot tub and that is pretty much shaded in the afternoon.

Like previous posters said its nothing fancy, but it serves the purpose. I had a nice swim in early June and spent some time in the hottub. You do have to walk through the parking lot..

...for a quick cool down or nap in the shade...fine. Literally, nothing appealing about it...if you are staying at The D it can serve its purpose. If one aspect of your vacation is pool time/relaxation....DTG or GN is where you should go...MK

I assume it is just there as a token gesture so they can put 'swimming pool' in their list of amenities for the online search engines.

It's the kind of pool where you lounge with a cigarette and a coors light and tan yourself. No judgment, I happen to enjoy that. But some people may not.
