A couple and myself are heading to The D in December from the 26th to the 30th. A quick look at the 2015 NFL schedule indicates that this is during the last week of the NFL season. After enjoying (what is sure to be much needed) the Ceasar Bar at the D on Sunday morning it is our mission to find the best place in the area to watch football. What I mean by best place means a) No driving b) not squeezed shoulder to shoulder with a ridiculous crowd c) Waitresses with smiles on their face (I know tips go a long way and we are friendly) d) Multiple games playing at once e) Easy access to a Sportsbook with reasonable odds on parlays. Does anything immediately come to mind. I like the Long Bar, and believe me when I say we will be giving it reasonable service throughout our stay, but it sound like it's a touch too crowded from what I see in reports to enjoy the games. Input requested and appreciated! (leaning toward the Plaza or El Cortez currently)

I watched some games upstairs at the California. The had big comfy chairs but not a lot of them.

I did week one last year and am again this year. For seeing the most games at once the Plaza sportsbook is best, but don't count on conditions C (although the bar is right there and you can get buckets of beer so you can make fewer trips) and perhaps B if you don't get there early enough to grab a table. There was definitely a crowd last year but it was a big area, didn't fell claustrophobic at all. After the day games we found the best place for SNF and MNF was the 777 inside MSS, but you'll have to walk across over to the Cal for their sports book to make bets. Again, it's best to get there early.

Because it's the last week there may not be that many meaningful games left, so perhaps a normal bar with just Fox and CBS on will be all you need. In that case I'd still recommend 777, but pretty much everywhere downtown will have the games on.

One hell of a suggestion. Thanks for the details as it further pushes me towards the Plaza. I will also consider your suggestions for night games!

A-E collectively are tough requirements to meet. I too like the 777 for single games.
Don't rule out the Longbar though. If you get seating it's not crowded. There may be people behind you, but it doesn't feel crowded, and watching the game is great. They usually have sound for the 'key game' at the time.
If you have a host, hit them up for some reserved seats at Longbar. They'll put your name on a placard and it's yours for as long as you like.

Don't know if you really care or not, but there should be a game that Saturday night as well, so prime time games three nights in a row!

Totally excited to hear anything that stops the bleeding of cash in the Pits! Thanks for the heads up! (Although I AM looking forward to some craps and blackjack!)

While getting lost in reading comprehension, I was referring to Week 1.

I need to quit drinking or posting.

I'm going to miss this board.
