Hi, does anyone have any experience with free play at the plaza downtown? I saw somewhere that there are a lot machines that you can't use for free play. Just wondering what machines and how limited my choices will be I'd just like to use mine on Wof machines or $1&$5 machines. I'm sorry if I'm being redundant. I mentioned this at the end of another thread on free play. I just wanted to mention it in its own thread. Thanks!

As I remember, the machines for free play all had a sticker on them... easy to identify.
I won $30 on my $5 free play, paid for dinner!

Don't know the details of Plaza but at CZR, you can't use free play on progressive machines. At least that's been my experience. And sometimes you can't use it on video roulette, either.

Sue, don't know if you can answer this or noticed, but what kind of slots had the stickers on them? Wof, double/triple Diamond, 7's? Etc Any higher denomination slots ie $5 have stickers?

I stayed at the el cortez and they gave me free slot play. As Sue mentioned about the Plaza, at the EC this was only good on the machines that had the stickers on them. It didn't include any progressive machines like WOF or Megabucks. Many of the VP machines had them but some were for the lower type of machines like 7/4 (not as many 9/6 VP machines). As for slots, not sure if the ones you mentioned have them but I think they might only have a few that do so you basically have to walk around to find the ones that allow it.

I thought I read somewhere that the Plaza was matching written freeplay offers from other casinos. Did I hear that correct? Any details?

    Thanks

I don't know about any machines other than some penny slots which is what I won my measly $30 on. I was playing Siberian Storm.

Yes I got a mailed offer from them. Did not play their last trip, the trip before I gave them 2 decent sessions and nothing?
