Have yet to have anything better than Dunkin Doughnuts but then again I don't try hard to find another place.
I think cup cake places are the big thing now and doughnuts in general are losing traction.

I grew up in Tim Horton's territory, and I still haven't found anything that's topped it.

Krispy Kreme for me. I like my donuts, doughy, not cakey...except for Little Debbie Powdered Mini Donuts...I love those little cakey devils...lol.

I prefer doughy donuts also. I love "just made" Krispy Kremes but unfortunately there's none where I live. There's a bakery called Napoleons Bakery and they make these awesome chocolate centered doughnuts among other types.

Most definitely! Fresh warm glazed KK donuts...yuuuuuummy! I also like to put them in the toaster oven and get them nice and toasty...the top glazed portion will be crispy and the donut itself will be warm and soft...add a scoop of Bryer's Vanilla Ice Cream and it is nothing but yummy in the tummy!

Krispy Kreme for me. Light, airy and just enough glaze to not be too sweet. Love them with my coffee

Liliha Bakery is awesome, not only for doughnuts but for all kinds of pastry! Those choco-filled cream puffs are to die for!

I could eat dozens of these things also but alas, my blood sugar is all messed up so I can only indulge in one or two every now and then.

As a guy who grew up and still lives in Dunkin Donuts land, whenever I'm fortunate enough to be near a Tim Horton's I make a point to stop in. Or when landing in Canada there's usually one right outside of Customs and Immigration! Gotta immediately get my Timbits fix! Great coffee too!

Star Bakery...in my neck of the woods. Always, always fresh. More known place would be Krispy Kreme...

There's a locally owned bakery in town, Daube's, amazing donuts, cakes and pastries. A little spendy but they are amazing! So if anyone is ever visiting Rochester, MN look them up!

If we are talking Vegas, it would have to be O Face Donuts at 124 S. 6th Street, downtown.

In the famous words of Homer Simpson, "Mmmmm....do-nuts!" OK, somebody already posted, but, I concur. Having just reached the age of becoming an AARP member, I would have to say that Dunkin' Donuts would be my favorite. Buy a coffee, get a free donut. I do like the KK, as well. Who remembers Winchell's? Used to love their lemon meringue filled donuts. I typically do not buy them, and I typically do not buy coffee from an outlet, except when in Las Vegas. I go across the street from the Golden Nugget, to the Fremont and buy my X-L coffee while the rest of the folks I am with are still sleeping (bad habit of waking up early every day of my life.) Now, I am going to get to enjoy a pre-breakfast donut. Whoo hoo! August, is my first opportunity to get a freebie.

I live in Dunkin Donut land---founded here and there is one on every street corner. Love their coffee, but hate their donuts. We buy at some local independent donut shops and they are good.
