Do you pack slippers or sandals for your hotel room?

Will you walk around with bare feet in the room?

Have you ever thought about this?

No way will I walk around on carpets that are rarely cleaned. Folks have tracked in dirt on shoes that could have been anywhere.

And this doesn't just apply to Vegas for me. At home, my outdoor shoes come off at the door and I wear slippers.

Flip flops. I use them for walking around the room and for when I am taking a shower so my feet are NOT on the shower floor. Lightweight and easy to pack to boot. I also try and bring a pair that matches my swimsuit and so use them for pool time as well.

I put a condom on each toe and wrap my feet in duct tape. Over 25 years later and dozens of Vegas trips and I feel great!

I use the slippers they put by the bed.

In fact I use them for walking to the spa or to the golf course as well.

I'm not worried about a little grime. I've heard tell that there are folks that walk barefoot outside and their feet get really dirty.

Yep, I just don't overthink it. I don't use the anti-bac wipes on the grocery cart at the store. I've been known to drink out of the hose when working in the yard. I go around a good bit of the time barefoot, in slippahs or wearing golf shoes. I dropped something on the kitchen floor the other night and ate it.

Now hotel rooms can be WAY skanky. But I think more people die in hospitals.

I usually wear flip flops around the room while barefoot. I will take them off when going into the bathroom to take a shower etc. I have actually thought about wearing flipflops and have during sping break in the shower also.

I wear size 13 and my feet never fit in those one size fit all slippers that they leave for turn down service or in the closets.

Can't say its ever concerned me in the slightest.

Getting germs on the hands or face i get. That will end up potentially being an infection vector. But "god knows what" ends up on your feet? If its not something sharp and you don't have an open wound they can take it.

Generally I'll have my socks on in the room most of the time, but I would never pack footwear just for the room.

I bring my slippers or those grip-bottom socks.

I don't walk barefoot anywhere, home or otherwise.

However, in a hotel room my feet never touch the bare floor...just sayin...

It would be estimated that there are about 100,000,000,000,000 bacteria and other microorganisms on your body right now... a few more from walking barefoot on a strange carpet is probably not going to be fatal :) :) :)

most of the better hotels provide slippers and even at Cosmo my dog's feet still look dirty running around the room so yea the carpet is not very clean.

plus add in Gaggles pissing in the rooms.

I'm not worried about bacteria so much as just nastiness like gum, wet spots (ew) or hazards like carpet tacks or pins. Slippahs (flip flops) for me. I must admit that in nicer hotels I am more likely to not care though.

I typically bring a pair of UGG slippers. They are beyond crazy comfy which is great after too much walking in Vegas. Although I don't usually get too freaked out about germs, can't help but to think Vegas hotel rooms have way more bodily fluid stuff pretty much everywhere. Ewwww. Of course that doesn't stop me from sitting in the chairs/sofa's unprotected or lying on the beds and squishing my face on a pillow- but at least my feet are less exposed- haha!

Never really crossed my mind. If I don't forget I grab the slippers that the Cosmo has in the closer but I usually forget. I will even sit on the couch!:faint:

No barefeet anywhere. Especially in any hotels. I bring extra footwear such as sandals or flipflops just for that reason. Plus this gives me a change from what I may wear outside. Same at home. Definitely have house shoes.

I don't think much about walking around with bare feet. BUT....after what I read on other threads about what people do to the in room coffee makers.......I just went out and bought a light, single server coffee maker to bring with me. Sometimes I just want a cup of tea or coffee and not have to go out or wait for room service.
