I've played in two Kraft Nabisco/ANA Inspirations pro-ams. I wrote it up in the current e-zine of the SCGA: http://plusfore.scga.org/jun2015/Default/6/0#&pageSet=6&page=0&contentItem=0 I've played a number of pro-ams and celeb-ams and jock-ams over the years, many different tours and events, and the LPGA experiences have been the best. Without a doubt.
Thanks for sharing. I love watching the LPGA tips on golf channel. They really do help! Side note: I ended up playing craps at borgata with two lpga ladies. Fun times!
Great stuff Ken. Great article. As you may remember I played in the lpga pro am feb in the Bahamas. (See my trip report) made a lot of lpga friends who I still talk to. I even have done some business with a few of them. Absolutely one of the best times ever. The girls were great! So nice and appreciative. When they came out to Carlsbad to play a tournament my buddy who went with me to the Bahamas said all the girls went out of their way to say hi and spend time with him. Can't really express into words how gracious and fun all the girls were. It was such a great experience we are going again next Feb to play once again in the pro am. Oh, I was so nervous (for no reason) our team had a chip of about 15 yards to the hole from just off the green, I went first, now I'm a 8 handicap and will get up and down 7 out of ten times from there and never top it or miss hit it. My pro Katherin kirk says out it close so she doesn't jane any pressure on her. I address the ball with my 64 degree wedge, take a few beautiful practice swings, stand over and get ready, by this time I'm shaking. Take a beautiful back swing and proceed to TC CHEN it. Yes hit the ball twice and it went about 2 feet! Everyone is on the ground laughing. Katherine says "packer, were you thinking about that one a little too much"... I was sooo embarrassed. We had a great time and when I talk to Katherine recently of course she asked me if I've been practicing that double hit shot lately.
Great article. I played a pro-am on the champions tour a long time ago when I was a little snot. Didn't think I'd be nervous because I was a tad full of myself. Get on the first tee, looked at the crowd and was actually shaking, good think I had just used the facilities! I was so happy to have made contact with the ball.
Lotta grumpy dudes out there on the Mulligan Tour. It's really sad, when you think about it. To all ... thanks.
Ken, this is a very enjoyable read. You have made me feel sorry about not acting on an opportunity to participate in this event yesterday: http://www.ottawasun.com/2015/06/16/brooke-henderson-puts-on-charity-event. Brooke's home and home golf club are an hour away from me. She appears to be an amazing talent and as genuine as her interviews make her out to be. Next year for sure!
Next year sounds great. I've never chatted with her but as you note, talking to some Canadian golf officials and a few friends who cover the tour, that is who she is. It's a wonderful time in the women's game!!

I've read a lot of your stuff over the years Ken and this is one of your very best. Makes me want to sign up tomorrow.
Great article Ken! I love watching the ladies play, it's a much more realistic version of golf since 200 yard 7 irons out there.
