I've always thought that the Blackjack scene in The Hangover was a classic and tried to recall other comedic scenes where players have gone a heater.

I recently caught the last half of the 1979 movie “Going in Style”. It’s a nice little movie with George Burns, Art Carney, and Lee Strasberg. This may be a minor spoiler, so if you haven’t seen the movie, you may want to discontinue reading.

Anyways, the part that I loved was when George Burns and Art Carney head to Vegas and go on a craps heater. Burns shows Carney how to play, and like most newbies to craps, Carney grabs on and goes for a wild ride not always knowing what is going on. Carney uses a few moves from this “Ed Norton” character and totally steals the scene. I am a big fan of both Burns and Carney and I would have been in stitches had I been at a table with the two of them.

Also, as a side note, there is a “spot the hooker” moment a little later in the movie, and Carney mimes his interest while playing a slot machine.

Owning Mahowny craps scenes are adrenaline-pumping as well. However, the movie's tone is kinda depressive so it won't be as fun as Papagiorgio's experience :)

The nice thing about craps movie scenes is that the game and lingo have not changed over all these years, so it doesn't matter when the movie was made, you can relate.

I believe in the entire movie in the gambling scenes you never see the play (the result of the dice, the cards, etc.) you only see his reaction.....
