Hello all, I have a question regarding the Encore Tower Suites. Lat time we stayed at Encore, we stayed in a panoramic suite on the "regular" side of the hotel, but for our next trip, we were somehow able to get a "deluxe king" room at the Encore Tower Suites for the same price, so we went ahead and booked it. We did request a strip view, but is it going to be the same view as last time? We had 3 big windows and were looking directly at the strip (almost right at the palazzo with the wynn tower just left of center). Someone said that all the tower suite rooms face the other way away from the strip, but I've also read that this is not the case and that the tower suite rooms have the same view as the regular "panoramic" rooms. Can someone please clear this up? We really loved our view last time!
The Encore Tower Suites are exactly as you said, they are the "premium" rooms that are separated via a fire door from the standard "resort" room. Just like the resort suites Encore has rooms that face both directions. When you check in request a room facing the Strip and on a high floor (30 or higher, preferably 39 or higher) to replicate the view. I might be wrong about this, but I do believe there is a chance that even though you are in the Tower Suites you could still end up with a room on a very low floor...with all the infamous nightclub music pounding away...nobody wants that. Shoot for floor 39 or higher with a strip view and you should be good to go. Enjoy!
You'll get a "strip view" regardless, which is technically correct, but what you're really aiming for is a south strip view. Ask for a Tower Suite ending in 02 or 08, the higher the floor, the better obviously. xx08 rooms adopt the same color scheme as the Salons since they attach to one (something to consider). There is one other Tower Suite per floor, xx07, which faces north and attaches to a Parlor. While that one doesn't have nearly as nice of views, you won't be hearing Surrender down below.
Good tip on the room number. I think I had 5608 (?) a few months ago. Could have the floor wrong but it was the last room before you hit the swing doors that take you to the regular Encore rooms on the same floor. I would love that same room again. Just checked my receipt from April. I was in room 65608. I would love that exact same room again. I was there for two nights when the clubs were not open but I'm hoping with that high floor that the room will still be quiet when I am there three weeks from tomorrow! For two of my four nights the clubs will be open.
I was there all last week and stayed for the first time in the encore tower suite room 5102 and was very happy with the strip view and the tower amenities. I believe all the tower suites on the strip side are above Surrender and the beach club....So Wednesday to Saturday night you can hear the club. From floor 51 I could hear it but was able to sleep through it.. I can imagine how bad it would have been if I was on a lower floor.
So we requested a high floor with a south strip view. If it's not what we wanted when we get there, I guess we can just switch rooms. One more questions, we juse found out that the CES convention is going to start at Encore the day we plan on checking out. How early do CES conventioneers start arriving for the show? We will be there several days before hand. Will it be an absolute zoo or will we escape the brunt of it?
Meant to reply to this thread but never did. In re: to CES, the crowds will be what they'll be. The good news is that Wynn/Encore are spread out over two hotels and casino floors (obviously...) so the foot traffic at either hotel will always be lower than say a Bellagio or MGM Grand etc etc. I would assume that you will escape the brunt of the CES traffic, although I could be totally wrong. In re: to your room/floor/view request the simple fact that you're in the Tower Suites elevates your chances of scoring a great room with a view and high floor dramatically. What I do every time I check in to either Wynn or Encore is tell the agent that I would like to be on "any floor in the 30's, your choice" and that "I'm willing to wait as long as it takes to get one." Each and every time my request has been accommodated and for what it's worth I've always stayed on the "Resort" side of the hotel. Wynn employees are there to take care of you and most reasonable requests made in a friendly way will surely be granted. Have a blast!
I've been to Vegas right after NYE a couple times, and in my experience, the CES madhouse begins in earnest the afternoon/evening before. That's when you really see the crowds pick up and the demographic shifts to the convention set from the normal Vegas mix. I also wouldn't really count on escaping the traffic; I've been at Mandalay Bay during CES and even there the crowds were pretty nuts, so I'd expect a place like Wynn, which is one of the closest hotels to the convention center, to be even worse.
