Read about a possible cheating scandal at the WSOP....cards sent off to be tested. Player possibly banned in one foreign country? This could get really messy for CET.....

I wonder how they'll handle that if it turns out to be true. I don't think they'd be able to re-do it. Maybe just move 6th place up a slot? or split his winning among the people that he played?

First of all, there is no proof that cheating has in fact actually occurred in this case. There is a 40+ page thread on this topic on the TwoPlusTwo forum and at this point the cards have been sent for analysis and an investigation is ongoing.

This particular event is a $10,000 buy in, "heads up" event which means each round has 2 participants playing each other with the winner moving on to the next round. The accusation is that this individual was marking cards using an invisible ink visible only to him while wearing special sunglasses giving him an advantage over his opponents.

Unlike the recent counterfeit chip incident at the Borgata where a player introduced fake, high denomination tournament chips into the tournament, this incident if true, only affected 2 or 3 participants, so CET's maximum exposure (if any) is very minimal.

This scam isn't new...Richard Marcus (possibly the worlds greatest ever Casino cheat) claims in his book that he used dye like this, specially made for by a bent chemist, which was only visible when wearing special contact lenses.

If you haven't read his book by the way, i would highly recommend it, its a great read.
