This will be my first 4th of July while in Vegas. I'm wondering what to expect? Where would be a good spot to watch the fire works? I'm staying at Flamingo. Flying in on Wednesday...spending Friday on Fremont st. Tried looking up firework's and it looks like only a few places will be doing them on the strip. Is it really crowded? Anyone know if Bellagio fountains will play Lee Greenwoods God Bless the USA in red white and blue?

I've never been for the 4th, but I have heard that in the vicinity of Harrahs is a good spot to watch them. I also think Margaritaville has held 4th of July parties in the past. You may want to look into going there to watch the fireworks from their upstairs patio.

CET sent me an invitation to a 4th party out there. Can't remember at which property. Bally's maybe? You may want to give the flamingo a call and just ask if they are having anything.

I go to Vegas every year over July 4th...Caesars usually does something as do some of the other casinos. The Station casinos off strip (like Red Rock) have fireworks displays but unless you have a rental car they might not be an option. Actually you should try and ask for a room on a high floor because on July 4th once the sun goes down, you can see fireworks going off all over the Valley from your hotel room. Whether you have a Strip view or a mountain view, you will see fireworks going off all over the place - it is very cool!

I looked up some information, and apparently the new Linq area is joining in on the fireworks this year - here is some info on all the Strip fireworks displays you can see etc:

This is part of a Trip Report I wrote about July 4th a few years ago... I've been only once. Do not expect it to be like NYE. There is no comparison! Caesars is your best bet to see any type of fireworks.

Caesars as you can imagine was a mad-house... A little before 9:00pm we went outside and found a spot to watch the fireworks and I looked at the weather app on my phone and it was 108 degrees out.
Good thing there was a breeze! The fireworks show was pretty good but there’s no comparison to New Years so ok now we’ve done the 4th Of July in Vegas and can say; Been there done that but never again…
Especially in that heat! Walking back to Bellagio was like herding cattle - noisy, unruly and slow moving. I’d say it took close to 30 minutes just to cross one skywalk.

Going out for the 4th also and we are double booking Flamingo/Cosmopolitan. Flamingo for 7/2-7 and Cosmo for the 3rd and 4th.
Have a 1 bedroom terrace at Cosmo so plan is hopefully having a high floor fountain view with prime view of the Caesar fireworks!

I'll be there 4th of July weekend. ..but on the evening of the 4th I'll probably head to the minor league baseball game. My understanding is they will do fireworks and what's more American than baseball, dogs, and beer :)

I agree, fireworks will be going off throughout the area so if you can get high up, you can see around the area well. If you time it right, the Linq wheel might be really neat.

I've been on during the 4th week, 3 times I believe. Love it. Might be my favorite time of year to visit.

I called Margaritaville and the lady said they are having a fireworks viewing special from 8pm-10pm. Includes a spot to sit...an open bar and heavy appetizers, what ever that means, for $125 per person. I said thanks, but I'll pass.

Margaritaville has done that event for many years. We did it once and have to say, not bad. Busy, but the drinks flowed and the apps were good. At the time is was $75 PP, if I remember correctly.

How was the view of the CP fireworks? The outside areas cant hold that many people...if I get stuck behind tall people I wont be able to see much.

The way the open area is, it's not bad at all. It does get a decent amount of people, but I do not recall having a poor view or anything due to the people.

I've done 3 4ths but this will be my 2nd straight. July 4th is not NYE. It's still a great time. I have watched the fireworks by Planet Hollywood and harrahs. There are oarties and all that. Very hot outside though. Everyone is wearing patriotic gear. I love the 4th almost morr than NYE just because of the weather
