    My Trip Report

This is a report on my visit to a local casino here in OK.. I am craps shooter when in Vegas or a place that offers the game.. The Indian casino's here in OK don't allow for the real game of craps, the few games offered are a card version where two cards are flipped over to replace the dice.

Anyways, the Osage Casino here in Bartlesville doesn't offer the game and occasionally a guy just has the urge to gamble, right? So last night the wife is out of town and I figure I will run out and get a few hands of blackjack in see how the luck runs. Luck is not real good in the beginning and I find myself down after an hour or so. Finally get a bit of a run and recoup a bit of what I was down when a new dealer steps in and in 4 of the next 6 hands she draws out to 21 with 4 to 6 cards...brutal. About half of the table immediately colors up and runs with me being one of them-I am usually the one who stays saying this will turn around, but thankfully not this time..

This is where the fun and exciting part starts. My slot play consists of me putting a five or ten dollar bill in a machine and play that til its gone or if I am lucky I double it and walk away...
There is one machine that I play at this casino every time I am there, It is a Lucky Duck 2 five line nickel machine with a max bet of .25 cents, I know, big bucks right? So after walking away from the blackjack, I think I will go see if my machine is open, and it is. I put a $20 in (nothing smaller this time) thinking I will play it down to $10 cash out and walk out the door.
In a few spins I get it up to $28 and stay right around there for 20 minutes or so...I am now starting to get bored, just not a slot fan-lol, and think I will play down to the $20 that I started with and head out..My credits start falling and I am down to $22 when the bells and whistles and lights start flashing and screaming at me. My first thought was I was going to get some free spins with the red screen(that's how slots work in OK) but no, the screen pops up telling me I just won $5042!! Honestly I sat there a bit stunned at first until it registered in my mind just what happened..I had hit the jackpot on the machine of 100,000 nickels!!

Within minutes multiple slot attendants were there to get my info and congratulate me on the win... after about 45 minutes they brought me my money and I was on my way. I did head back to the blackjack pit to play a bit more, but mainly to thank that dealer that ran me off that table..

Thanks for reading throught this rambling report, just wanted to share my jackpot handpay! :nworthy:

Congrats! I live in Bartlesville but usually hit up the Cherokee Ramona over the Osage. But what a huge win off of 25 cents!

Nope, no pictures. Meant to ask if it would be okay to take one, but when the slot attendant showed up I went braindead and didn't ask. While waiting for the money, I had plenty of time but they had cleared off the jackpot winning screen.

Thanks. Don't know for sure, but I think all OK machines are bingo type games.

Don't care if it's bingo or scrabble. 100,000 nickels is 100,000 nickels.

Not all of them. Many casinos have Class III compacts in Oklahoma now (allowing vegas style slots/VP). Basically if you see a bingo card somewhere on the machine, it's class II. Doesn't make much difference for a slot, but for VP, strategy is worthless on a class II game.

    Nice hit!
