Girls long weekend trip to Vegas! We have narrowed down our selection to Aria or The Venetian/Palazzo. 2 girls, so we don't really need the extra room from the Venetian. We aren't big gamblers, so the casino floors do not matter to us. We have seen some pretty awful reviews of Liquid at Aria. The pool looks so much nicer at The Venetian. But we like the location of Aria more. What do you guys suggest?
In order to answer your Q, more info is required....What is your main objective? If it's not the gambling and since you mentioned Liquid, is it the pool, do the restaurants and the shopping factor in, cause when we stayed at Aria we were not fans of the pool at all!
We want a good pool, fun restaurants close, fun bars. Shopping, which is everywhere in Vegas. - - - Updated - - - What didn't you like about the pool? Its on all the lists of great pools in Vegas
For what you are looking for I would suggest Aria. Right next door is Cosmopolitan and across the street is PH with the mall also.
Neither of the hotels has a great pool considering they are 5 star properties. I prefer V/P pool area over Aria from everything from pools, chairs, service and atmosphere. Both properties are really solid in the restaurant departments and for shopping i give V/P an edge for both stores within the property and its proximity to the Fashion Show Mall. As far as everything else goes i give Aria the nod.
I know you said you narrowed it down to Aria or V/P but based on what you are looking for, I would recommend Cosmo. The restaurants there are incredible and you can find casual places to eat as well as high-end. The shopping is really fun there too and they have two pools. One overlooks the strip and the other is on the 14th floor and has a really nice setup. But if you are truly only considering Aria or V/P I would say stay at Aria and then go shop and eat at Cosmo lol. Have fun!
My vote is for V/P. You have an incredible mall within the hotel, your close Ceasars which also has a nice mall and both places have good Eating spots. Cosmo is only good if you like boutique style of eateries...personally there's nothing there you can grab a quick bite and go on to the next scheduled event. But once again this is my opinion.
I've stayed at Venetian twice and Aria once. Venetian is definitely much nicer. The properties are about equal as far as being "upscale" but Aria has no personality. It seems to have been hastily constructed and has no unifying theme. The casino appears to be an afterthought. You're also set back farther from Las Vegas Blvd. than Venetian. Aria is next to Crystals Mall, but most people can't shop there. It's for millionaires and billionaires only. Even Saks and Nordstrom weren't upscale enough to get in there.
vote for palazzo here as nicer rooms and you can use venetian pools . think its 10 or so in total. great shops and 40 or so places to eat without leaving the hotels.
I think the primary question is how much you care about having a place to party right inside the hotel. I personally like Aria's rooms, restaurants, and bars far more than Venetian's, and same for location, but there are zero clubs or lounges actually inside Aria. Haze has been closed for a while, Gold closed recently, and I believe I read that even Deuce is on its way out. On the other hand, Cosmopolitan and all of its nightlife is literally right next door, but if you want to be able to stay in the building, it's tough to do that at Aria.
Either property is fantastic. You might like Venetian because it is closer to the mall, and probably has a better pool area. But if price is a consideration, Aria is probably cheaper? I don't know.
Personally I thought the Aria pool setup was much nicer than Venetian. Aria is 3 relatively large pools and at least 3 good size hot tubs in a natural setting. Venetian is one big generic pool. Just take a look at a few youtube videos of each. Venetian rooms are bigger and the place is over the top beautiful. Location is worse. Aria goes for a more modern theme. Even though it's set back off the strip, the location is very central - there's a tram to Bellagio and Crystals.
What are you talking about, the Venetian/Palazoo pool area is still combined right? They have at least twice as many pools compared to Aria although i think its more especially if you count the pool at the Venezia tower. Also one of the pools at Aria is now for sky suites guests only.
