I received an interesting offer from the Plaza. They claim they will match my best offer from another property with the caveat that the match will be no better than the highest tier offer they currently have. My best offer is 3 free nights with $200 FP and another $200 FP after 2,000 points earned. I'm very curious how this will be handled at the Plaza. Airfare is sky high and they might have just justified my trip but we will see. Any feedback from the Plaza regulars regarding what type of offers the highest tier normally receives?
I really don't think the tier matching matters. It is still how much you gamble. They matched my Boyd Emerald with a Plaza Ace last year. I gave them a little play and got offers for a couple of free nights. Nothing special, but that is their highest tier.
This was a mailer to match my best offer, not the standard tier match which is why it grabbed my interest.
