What is it about Caesars casino?

We are going to LV for the first time and staying at Caesars. I have noticed on here, a lot of people do not care for the casino there. Why is that, and what casino would you recommend ? Too big ? too dirty? Too old ? Not a big payout? Just curious. Thanks

 

Hi Atlsooner! We prefer a smaller property....Caesars is huge and it is a trek just to get to LV Blvd, rooms or other casinos. We stay at Paris or Bally's because they are easy to navigate, can get to our room easily, great food options close by and both have a pleasant vibe. They are so central that we can walk to 8-10 casinos quickly for variety. Good luck on your trip.

 

Personally, I find the casino to be ok. There are a lot of places I like more. But as for the overall resort, it is a mess IMO. It is difficult to navigate, I am not a fan of the dining options (especially since they got rid of Munchbar) and it is not always as clean as I like (although it is much cleaner than the other CET properties). I also loathe my host there and cannot seem to get a new one.

 

I find that most of the casino areas are essentially ways to get to other places, which makes the whole place feel very hectic. I swear there are very few places that aren't filled with traffic--and is even more of a mess before a show at the Colosseum. Sometimes I like mellow gaming experiences (Encore) or high-energy places (Casino Royale? PH?), but I don't like the feeling of being in a crowd or around people constantly moving like I do at Caesars.

 

I get lost in there and the ceilings are low which makes it worse. Only go thru there now while trying to get to the forum shops.

 

I don't like it because they took out a lot of my favorite machines (like Buffalo) and replaced them with newer versions which don't pay diddly. I also don't like that the casino floor is so spread out that it takes awhile to get from one gaming area to another. I don't mind walking but it's a hike to get to anywhere in there. I do, however, love Bacchanal and the diamond lounge.

 

Caesars opened in the 60's and growth at the property over the years looks like adding room additions to a bungalow to make a mansion to me. Foot traffic flow through the place is not good with many passageways connecting the casino with restaurants, hotel tower lobbies, and other public areas as you walk in from the street into the casino.

I've enjoyed my stay there many times but the floor plan is definitely more challenging to maneuver around compared to other large, newer properties.

 

Caesar's Diamond Lounge is amazing.

 

I agree about Munchbar. Not a big fan of the place that replaced Munchbar.

 

It is an older property that expanded which is the reason for all the weird interconnected hallways etc. I think your experience will depend on what tower you are staying in. Augustus and Octavius towers are pretty much a straight shot from check in and the strip etc. They are also close to the pool area and buffet. Try and get a room in one of those two towers if you can.

 

Too hard too navigate, too crowded, claustrophobic and low pay-outs. Love the Augustus tower, though.

 

I'm currently down on Caesars Palace mainly 'cuz they took out many of the machines I like.

The rooms are extremely nice! I don't have any trouble finding my way around. It has a reasonably good selection of dining options. The Forum Shops are well worth the trip.

Parking can be a b*tch, and even valet is frequently marked as full. Sometimes, $ome con$ideration can work around the full sign but sometimes not.

 

I don't hate Caesars however the architectural design always gives me the feeling it was designed by a lab rat flipped out on crack.

Seizures is CET's flagship property and has a variety of rooms spread out over many buildings. Plan on exercise no matter where you end up. Low ceilings, tends to be smoky, difficult to navigate as others have mentioned. As it has grown it hasn't been planned very well. I'm not an architect so I'm not sure I could do any better.

Can't say much about the gaming. I'm one of those they pissed off and haven't played there since 2012.

Best bet is to form your own opinions while you make the best of your stay. Hope you enjoy your visit and hope you have a great experience!

 

Caesars is a great place to go if you love old-style Vegas kitsch. If you are the kind of person who loves to play drinking games while watching the movie "Showgirls", then you will have an awesome time there. Caesars is a classic.

 

I go to Caesars once or twice a trip and still get turned around inside after many years of visits. Never have really hit anything good at the tables/slots either. Bacchanal is quite nice though. Also the sports book is acceptable.

 

I always enjoy my stays at Caesars. Does it need some updating? (like carpet, tvs, felt on tables, etc.) Sure.......the main casino has been there since it opened its doors over a half century ago. Has a great old school no frills feel to it. When you start to get into the more modern, updated and new part of the casino you run into tables and games that are less than advantageous to the gambler. I give you exhibit A.

I don't hate it but like others have mentioned i find comfort in other casinos so my need to go there isn't very high. I am very big on how a place makes me feel when I gamble and Caesar's just doesn't have that comfort zone for me.

Plus it is massive and confusing to navigate

 

I used to get lost in there too, but since we stayed there several times I find that it is not as difficult to navigate. We actually love CP as a matter of fact DW always has me check TR site to see if we have any comped rooms. If we do that is what we plan our LV trip around, she loves the feeling of elegance and the customer service has always been great. Long walk, casino chopped up, yes. But for us the +'s outweigh the -'s. YMMV

 

I am not a huge fan of the general casino floor at Caesars but I find their high limit area to be awesome. When it comes to baccarat I find Caesars to be one of the best places to play. The dealers are awesome and there are always players.
