    My Trip Report

I love reading the semi live trip reports! It really makes me feel like I'm in Vegas. I will "attempt" a semi live report, but since I didn't add "semi live" to my title, I don't have to be held to it [emoji6].

This first update is coming live from Southwest flight 4105 from DTW to LAS.

    Room (s):
I received an offer from CET for entry into a 150k Video Poker tournament at Rio and 3 free nights at Bally's, Rio, Harrahs, Linq, or Flamingo. I called and booked a Jubilee room at Bally's for 6/1 - 6/4. Flight prices were much cheaper out of DTW on 5/31, so I took advantage of an Mlife spring offer for 2 nights free at Bellagio (Sunday-Thursday), $50 resort credit, and $50 free play to stay 5/31 and 6/1 (double booked at Bally's 6/1). About 2 weeks ago I received an offer from The Downtown Grand for 2 free nights, $80 free play, and $20 food credit, so I booked that 6/2 & 6/3 (double booked with Bally's....again). You should all know that I'm a lower than low roller. I've only got a gambling budget of about $200 per day, so getting offers like these are a very nice surprise! I also like finding great deals and using coupons. You'll see that almost everything we do will be free or discounted. Frugal not cheap right? [emoji41]

    Plans:
Vegas trips with my boys involve gambling and heavy drinking. This trip my wife is along, so that involves shows, pool time, site seeing, and limited gambling. We have tickets to see Raiding The Rock Vault (I bought tickets for $10 each) on Sunday night, and tickets to see LOVE (free from MyVegas) Monday night. Since we'll be moving around a lot, I rented a car from Advantage. I had an offer for one free day, and after reserving and canceling a minimum of 5 times, I was able to rent a car for $9.09/day for a whopping 4 day grand total of $57. I have a MyVegas reward for one free buffet that we'll use for breakfast Monday morning at Bellagio and a $50 MyVegas Reward to use at Monte Carlo that we're going to use at Double Barrel Saloon on Monday during their happy hour. Between the 2 of us, we still have over 100k MyVegas Loyalty Points, so if anyone has a suggestion how to use them I would appreciate it.

Plans for Tuesday and Wednesday are kind of up in the air, but include the Video Poker tournament, some pool time, more video poker, and consuming some craft beers.

My next update will hopefully be live from Las Vegas. I will also include lots of pictures.

    Hope you enjoy!

Leaving rain and 50° in Detroit.

Warming up for the Video Poker tournament. About 5 hands in. Hopefully I didn't use it all up.

About 50 people in front of me at Bellagio to get checked in at 11:00 am. Tried the $20 sandwich and asked for a Fountain View room on a high floor. Got a room on the 15th floor in the Spa Tower facing the fountains![IMG]

I will be there tomorrow and planning on offering the sandwich for an upgrade. Do you know if spa tower rooms are similar to main tower?

Thanks Tring! It's Video Poker Robert Suh (I guess he's the developer). Hope to hit lots of quads this week and maybe, just maybe that first royal. [emoji3]

Thanks everyone! Had a great first day in Vegas! Won some money which is always nice. We saw Raiding The Rock Vault last night. My wife and I were exhausted when we got there from our long travel day, and we were both worried we'd fall asleep during the show, but WOW! What a great show!! Stayed awake for the entire show, and so glad we did. I would highly recommend the show. I will try to do a better job today with the "live" part of the trip report. There are some awesome trip reports going on now with BeeeJay, Packer, Royal Flusher, and PP. I don't know how anyone can keep up with them all.
