macwjp and the Mrs aka the boss - May 27 - June 4

Well thank you Air Canada Rouge for the 73/4 hour delay to the Vegas vacation. Waiting for plane from Dublin to arrive in Toronto to take us to Vegas. Highlights so far:
- plays freeroll poker tourney at local casino, cash for $535
- arrived at hotel in Moncton NB where we flew out of to get a couple hours sleep. I slept and degenerate wife went to casino to play Ult. Texas Holdem, turned 200 into 500. I got 2.5 hrs sleep and she got 1 hr
- Moncton to Toronto flight left the gate then had to return as someone waited last minute to realize they were on the wrong flight
- Toronto to vegas flight, here I sit supposed to fly out 845am, latest update is flight out at 430pm knock on wood

Plans on this trip are fluid, playing WSOP Colossus tournaments and will see from there. A bunch friends coming down as well so I suspect there will be some drinking, attend VMB Meetup at Cosmo if AC gets me there on time. Trip downtown, a few buffets! Craps, poker , VP and whatever else I can squeeze in? Will try to update as much as possible with pics as well

Arrived safe and sound, all checked in at Harrahs playing poker, won $120 pot first hand. Enjoying a nice cold beer while playing

Well it was an early night last night after a very long travel day we found ourselves in bed at midnight. After a couple of hours of play, me at poker and the Mrs at UTH, I cashed out up $220 and she was up $400, so not a bad start.
True to form I bounce out of bed at 745am ready to meet the day. The only solid plan for today is to head to RIO to complete registration for The Colossus and then gambling. I will try and add updates and pics through the day if anything interesting happens

 

Gambling updates for the day:
Poker tournament Thurs morning: busto, played UTH for couple hours broke even. Played VP at Cosmo four about an hour and then this happened:

This got me +45 for the session. Side note got to meet some really nice people at the VMB meet at Cosmo, thanks for organizing this Breanna.
Got back to Harrahs and the Mrs had this from a result of a long Ult Texas Holden session:

Buying was 200.
Losing session at Mirage, played well but got unlucky -200. Back to Harrahs for some craps 200 buying, things were going south until virgin shooter went on a really nice roll and ended up throwing 5 point fire bet for 250 to 1, I collected 750 for my $3 investment ended up cashing out 1050, sorry forgot the chip porn for this one. Ending the day with some poker at Harrahs, not going as planned down a quick 150 but still playing well.

Addendum to gambling update above....the Mrs had a rough evening between UTH and craps that saw her give back about 700 of afternoon winnings. Currently working her way back playing poker.

 

Late start today but another day in paradise. Just heard from a friend from back home who just arrived, going to catch up with him later, first some breakfast then maybe some poker.

So Friday and Saturday pretty busy days for us playing colossus at Rio. The Mrs suffered the beast of variance and busted out level 5, I was swimming along nicely but alas busted out on the last level of the day running my full house into quads. A momentary lapse in concentration cost me a trip to day two but overall a great experience.
Gambling over the last two days has been unremarkable to say the least, only good thing is no big losses
Currently sitting at PH waiting for a buddy to go get something to eat, more later.

Lunch at Earl of Sandwich, always good. Taxi over to Geezers to check out the new poker room.... was nice but no dealers to open new table so we walk the forum shops to get over to Harrahs and seats available. Settling in for a long session of poker and we will see what happens. Man its hot here.
